The band has opened for legendary bands, James and Razorlight, cult phenomenon Thomas Truax, and rising stars Tom A Smith, The Clause, and Slackrr.

We are Saucy Asian - a popular Scottish-Asian takeaway from Kirriemuir, Angus, serving up bold Asian street food flavours with playful Scottish twists, serious sauce and the kind of food that makes people wonder how they’ve not tried us sooner.

Now taking Saucy on the road with our food truck, we’re bringing our signature flavours to events and pop-ups across Scotland - serving up loaded street fries, Korean fried chicken, Black Pudding Spring Rolls, Tattie Scone Toasts, Saucy bowls and dangerously moreish comfort food inspired by late-night cravings and Asian street food culture.

Next Sunday, we're joined by tabla-led jazz trio Separi. Separi, individually, have played for us as part of other bands countless times, but this will be their first time playing together under the new alias. 🎷

Separi got together in the spring of 2026 while Scuba, a band they're all in, was on hiatus. The band wanted an outlet to explore the possibilities in a chordless, tabla-led jazz trio. They play a mixture of original jazz tunes, and some standard - and not so standard - tunes from the jazz repertoire. Tabla maestro Ricky Linn leads the band Scuba, and has a busy teaching practice. Paul Greenwood, on sax, studied at Guild Hall in London, and has worked very widely in jazz, as well as stints with Incognito, Michael Kiwanuka and Paul Weller, among many others. Bassist Seth Bennett runs a monthly jazz jam at Canvas, and works widely in Jazz, Free Improvisation and Folk music. All three are also busy freelancers across Scotland and the rest of the U.K.

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Halloween? Pumpkins? Skeletons? For us, it's Optimo. After such a killer first party back in May, we're doing it all again for Halloween. Optimo (Espacio) return to CANVAS for an All Night Long session fuelled by the sounds of horror on Friday 30th October. They'll be joined by the industrial, electronic sound of NURSE (LIVE).
