I recently had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Justyna and Sean from WeAreElopers while conducting India & Joey’s wedding ceremony at the incredible Borthwick Castle—and honestly, what a pair of stars they are.

Their photos from the day, including the ones they kindly shared with me, are nothing short of brilliant. Every image is crisp, full of life, and packed with that lovely mix of joy, romance, and real human warmth. They somehow manage to catch the big moments and the quiet little ones that most of us miss… even when I’m in the middle of the action trying not to trip over a tartan sash.

What impressed me most was their calm, gentle presence. They float around like two creative spirits—never intrusive, always in the right place, and always capturing the story exactly as it unfolds. You can feel the care, intention, and genuine love for what they do in every shot.

A New Chapter—Becoming an Ordinand with the Open Sanctuary

I’m pleased to share that as well as having a new job as a SHEQ Advisor, I'm now an ordinand with the Open Sanctuary.

For those unfamiliar, an ordinand is someone undertaking training and preparation towards ordination as a minister. It’s a journey of learning, reflection, and service, all with the aim of being able to support others in their most meaningful life moments.

The Open Sanctuary is a spiritual community that encourages openness, inclusion, and compassion. It’s about meeting people of all religions and none where they are—whether in times of joy, grief, or reflection—and offering support that is personal and meaningful.

This naturally strengthens my work as a civil celebrant, allowing me to bring not only structure and professionalism to ceremonies but also deeper spiritual awareness, warmth, and connection.

Even as an ordinand (before becoming a reverend), I can be of help to those seeking support—whether that’s through weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, memorials, or simply being someone to listen.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to the new Mr and Mrs S for inviting me to be your Civil Celebrant for such a deeply meaningful, romantic, and joy-filled wedding.

The setting? None other than the breathtaking Borthwick Castle – a place steeped in history and full of magic. It truly was the perfect backdrop for a celebration of love and connection.

Special thanks must go to the incredible staff at the castle, whose professionalism and warmth made the day run like a dream. And to Roddy the piper – your music stirred the soul and added something truly special to the atmosphere.

It was a day filled with emotion, laughter, tradition, and togetherness – everything a wedding should be and more. I am so grateful to have played a part in it.

I carry every ceremony with me in spirit – and this one will remain in my heart for a long time.

I had the absolute pleasure of attending a Reiki 1 course with Jenny Bailey at The Tranquility Zone, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, the day was a perfect balance of learning, connection, and fun. Jenny has such a warm, supportive energy that instantly puts you at ease and creates a space where you feel completely comfortable to explore, ask questions, and truly absorb the practice of Reiki.

What really stood out was not just the quality of the teaching, but the care Jenny puts into supporting you—both on the day and beyond. Knowing that there's ongoing support available is such a huge plus and makes a real difference as you continue your Reiki journey.

I learned so much, felt incredibly uplifted, and left feeling both empowered and inspired. When I’m ready, I’m genuinely excited to come back for my Reiki 2 course with Jenny. Thank you again for such a powerful and positive experience!

Had a fantastic time being part of the 2025 Perth Salute this weekend! 🇬🇧
For those who don’t know, it’s a colourful annual parade and arena event in Perth celebrating our armed forces, veterans, and community spirit – complete with music, marching, and living history displays.

Proud to help fly the RAF Police Association flag and represent our branch, and I’m already looking forward to more opportunities to get out there and do it again!

Calling all parents to new born’s – Let’s Create a Beautiful Baby Blessing Together.

I’m a qualified civil celebrant, and I’m excited to share something I’ve been wanting to do: my very first naming day ceremony!
These ceremonies — also called baby blessings or non-religious christenings — are a gorgeous way to welcome your little one into the world, surrounded by love, meaning, and the people who matter most.

The best part? You get to shape it your way. Spiritual, heartfelt, playful, relaxed — or a bit of everything.

As a civil celebrant, I can include spiritual elements if you wish (a blessing, a moment of quiet, or something unique to your family), which isn't always possible with a humanist celebrant.

These ceremonies typically cost between £150–£300, but since I haven’t done one yet, I’m offering a generous discount in exchange for the opportunity and experience.

Yesterday I had the deep honour of helping a dear friend talk through her wishes for her own funeral service.

This isn’t something I usually get to do. Most of the time, I’m speaking about someone I never had the chance to meet, relying on stories and memories from loved ones. But this time was different. This time, I knew her. I got to sit with her, hear her voice, feel her warmth, and help shape something with her—something true to who she is.

With some of her family present, she was clear: she wanted it to be a cheery atmosphere. No heavy gloom, no stiffness—just love, light, and laughter. A celebration of her life, not just a mourning of her death.

It reminded me how powerful and comforting it is to know, without question, what someone really wanted. When you hear it from the person themselves, there’s no second-guessing, no misinterpretation—just clarity, peace, and purpose.

If you’ve ever thought about planning ahead or sharing your wishes with someone you trust, I gently encourage you to do it. It’s not morbid. It’s a gift. It takes courage, yes—but it also takes the burden away from your loved ones and gives them something incredibly valuable: certainty, comfort, and a sense of doing right by you.

Death will come for us all, but how we prepare for it—and how we help others prepare—can make all the difference.

Let’s start talking about it, kindly and openly. Let’s make space for joy, even in goodbye.

I had a 1:1 chakra healing session with Victoria Rose yesterday, and I’m still feeling the incredible effects! I genuinely feel so much better already — lighter, more balanced, and full of renewed energy. I’m absolutely amazed by Victoria’s skill, deep knowledge, and calming presence throughout the session.

She has such a natural gift, and it truly shows in the care and intuition she brings to her work. I would highly recommend Victoria to anyone considering any of the services she offers — you won’t be disappointed!
