Going to a house night with your mum or dad shouldn’t work this well! 🕺

One of our favourite things about the first Connect night in June was looking around the dancefloor at CANVAS and seeing a crazy mix of ages.

Folk in their late teens and 20s dancing alongside folk in their 40s and 50s.

We even had some parents dancing to some quality house tunes with their adult kids. We absolutely loved that.

No one felt too old or too young to be there and it was exactly the kind of dancefloor we wanted Connect to have. 🤩

So feel free to bring your kid(s) or parent(s) along on November 6th!

We weren’t sure you’d listen to us on this one… 😂

Before the first Connect we kept banging on about coming early.

Doors at 7. Get yourself in. Grab a drink. Have a blether. Listen to the tunes build and enjoy the whole night rather than rocking up halfway through it.

And fair play, you absolutely did.

This was Canvas at 7.45pm. 🤩

Turns out getting a load of Dundee folk to skip the usual few extra pints in the pub wasn’t impossible after all.

We loved the feel of that first hour. Folk arriving, bumping into people they knew, chatting to people they didn’t, and the room slowly starting to come alive.

So we’re asking the same again on 6th November.

Get in early. Get a drink. Say hello to folk. Enjoy the build-up.

We’ll take care of the tunes.

Call us old fashioned but what’s a house night without some actual posters and flyers?

What an afternoon we had putting them around Dundee, handing out flyers and blethering to folk about the next Connect in November. Turns out Dundee’s still gagging for proper house nights.

A few pints may also have been involved (and fireballs courtesy of Andrew D Morgan, Connect’s visual hero).

We f***ing love Dundee!

Big thanks to all the local businesses who gave us a bit of their window/wall space and to everyone who stopped for a chat. ❤️

Connect is back at CANVAS on Friday 6th November.

After the first night in June we genuinely can’t wait to get back in that room with you all and do it again.

Wow, what a night.

On Friday, what started as an idea between friends became a reality. Well over 200 of you turned up to create exactly the room we’d been hoping for.

There were a few challenges behind the scenes (as there always are!) but seeing the space come alive made every minute worthwhile.

Looking out at the crowd was a pretty special feeling. From the first track to the last, the room was full of smiles, dancing and good energy.

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, shared a post, invited a friend, helped behind the scenes or just took a chance on something new.

You made the first Connect what it was.

We’ll be back at Canvas on 6th November.

Two days to go now.

When we first started talking about Connect, we genuinely had no idea how people would respond. We hoped there were others out there looking for the same thing we were...

A good night out with good house music and good people. A good room to bring them together.  Fast forward a few months and here we are - over two hundred of you legends coming together on a Friday night because that idea resonated with you too.  To everyone who’s bought a ticket, joined the list, shared a post, told a mate, or simply got behind what we’re trying to do...  Thank you so much. We’re nearly there now!  See you on Friday.
