Popped in to visit our new neighbours this morning. Stables Cafe is now open in Mabie Forest!

Lovely to meet Heather. You should go in for a coffee or a snack when you're out walking these wonderful woods. And they do a veggie breakfast, so Jim is very happy!

Looking through old photos and realised we never publicly thanked Chris for this!

Last summer Chris & Donna got married here and in the run up to the wedding, Chris put his chainsaw skills to use and made the mushrooms that we've shown you. He also crafted this amazing sofa and another bench for around the fire pit at the roundhouse.

We were very impressed, and so grateful when he left all these beautiful things here for the site! Thanks. 😀

Storm Eowyn was determined that everyone was going to get cold bums when using the compost loos! Rest assured these boards have been replaced now.

It did make us all chuckle that the only boards that came off the campsite compost loos were at perfect height for a chilly wind when you sat on the seat (pun fully intended).

** Roundhouse print for sale! **

We posted this design of the roundhouse by .prints at new year and didn't expect such a good response! We've already posted some out and been able to hear some wonderful stories of why the roundhouse is special to people (some of which we'll be sharing with you over the next few weeks).

What a beautiful day! It's hard to think that less than a week ago we were battling some terrifying winds. ☀

Although we got off very lucky, there was of course some storm related damage on site including a hole in the thatch of the roundhouse. Thankfully this was fixed today, cheers guys!
