Chris and Karen's wee wedding at was an absolute joy. I've known Chris for a good few years. We met during my illustrious career in Economic Development at the Cooncil, and he was my go-to guy for fixin' the money pit that was my wee Nissan Figaro! I was delighted when he met Karen and even more delighted when they asked me to marry them! Great guests who tolerated my bossing them around. I can't help myself. Karen came up the staircase to the strains of the Baby Elephant Walk ๐ but BEAR (or elephant) WITH ME! It was a nod to her late dad who worked on the film Hatari, so a great choice ๐ฅ

I'm in love with these photos by for Lynsey and Murray yesterday at the glorious Crichton Church. Yes it rained. Did we care? Nah! (Maybe a little bit - I hate inconvenient rain) Thanks to everyone for being so gorgeous!

Never underestimate the value of writing a wee review for your wedding team. This one from Kelly and Dale made my chin wobble. I really do care about the couples and families I work with, whether it's a wedding, funeral or naming ceremony. They get my full attention right up to the day of their ceremony - and after - because I always fall in love with them a little bit and have trouble letting go ๐ญ
Thank you to everyone who chooses me to be their Humanist Society Scotland Celebrant ๐
My strapline should be "Lindsey Mason Ross Humanist Celebrant - you'll never get rid of her"
Catchy.

Wendy & Callum's turn yesterday! Married in the hallowed halls of 'ye oldde but goldde' Crichton Memorial Church. It was their boy Oscar's first birthday, too!
Beautiful Wendy arrived in this gorgeous Austin Sheerline from (Thanks, Google Image Search)
Congratulations, the Adamsons!

Great things about the Crichton Church:
๐ That glorious aisle for Wendy to glide down.
๐ Plenty room at the front for bridesmaids and groomsmen, so the photographer doesn't have a dicky fit* trying to weave in and out to get the good shots
๐ Fab acoustics for my bellowing delivery, and for pipers to give it laldy
๐ The sound system. I once arrived early for a wedding, and George Michael's Praying for Time was playing in the empty church, and it was one of the most beautiful 4 minutes 40 seconds of my life. I almost turned to religion.
๐ It's nice and cool on even the hottest day
*remember we used to say dicky fit? "The teacher's having a dicky fit" ๐คฃ

Oh hello drop kiss, dip kiss, aisle drop WHATEVER YOU'RE CALLED I want to see more of this ๐๐๐
Lewis and Anna, whose middle names must surely be Cutie and Patootie if there's any justice in the damn world.
I snapped this, thanks to photographer for setting it up for me ๐ ๐
Met Niamh from for the first time, and gave her one of my stickers, of course, because who doesn't want a Lindsey Mason Ross sticker on their kit to deter burglars?
Also saw which is always nice!

Who knew you could find love in a Police Station? ๐๐๐
Well, you can, and they did ๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐จ๐
Alistair and Cat! I'm sorry it rained, and we had the ceremony inside, but we still had fun and no owl creating a dramarama this week ๐ฆ
And Cat thoughtfully provided fans for the comfort of the guests, take note ๐ชญ๐ชญ๐ชญ
Guess what they had in the quaich, though? TENNENTS THAT'S WHAT! You do you, hon ๐ How beautiful is Cat? I love her. And I love a long sleeved gown.

I understand it's Take Your Dug to Work today, which gives me another opportunity to share this belter ๐คฃ He was very unhappy at the indignity of being tethered in the back of the car. Swipe ๐ to see this gem rendered in watercolour - a gift from one of my favourite humans โค๏ธ ๐ (not my wife, but she's nice too)
Ps I don't take him to weddings. Absolute bedlam would ensue.

Hello! Choosing the Humanist Celebrant that's right for you is really important so let me tell you a little bit about me - I conduct Humanist Weddings, Vow Renewals and Namings - so I can help you say I do, I still do, and look what I did! (That last one applies to Naming Ceremonies - not sure that line works, but you can decide...).
I love to write, so writing ceremonies is an absolute blooming joy and I love to hear peoples' stories so that I can craft a ceremony that will knock their socks off!
I'm also the queen of statement necklaces and would feel naked if I didn't have e.g a six-inch glittery gold perspex lobster round my neck.
Iโm also over on Instagram if you'd like to see some photos of ceremonies (and fancy necklaces make an appearance now and again) I've conducted, or drop me a message on 0773 901 7933 and we can have a no-obligation chat.
I live with my wife Les, Tucker the Terrible Jackadoodle, and Audrey the Very Old Cat who is as deaf as she is old, which makes night times interesting. I've two grown-up daughters and we now have a grandson, which is the best thing ever. I've been a Humanist for several years - and probably for many years before I even knew what humanism was, to be honest.
I joined the Humanist Society Scotland because I support their campaigns and the great work they do, and I became a celebrant because I wanted to help families and couples celebrate life's events with love and joy - and a bit of fun. I wanted to become a celebrant for a long time, and "what's fur ye will no gan bye ye" as they say, so Iโm delighted to be part of the HSS Celebrant team and look forward to discussing your perfect ceremony with you.
