Black Country Multicultural Day Multicultural day is to show how the Black Country has become culturally diverse in recent years. In 2024 we will return to Halesowen.

Multicultural day is to show how the people of the Black Country have become cultural diverse in recent years. We know that there has been a significant rise of different ethnic mix who have moved into the Black Country since the industrial revolution. Multicultural Day is about making friends with people from different backgrounds and life experiences and to learn about their values and also to p

romote their own beliefs in the spirit of peace and harmony. This event will kindle local civic pride and confidence and has the potential to improve the economic environmental and social well-being of the Black Country residents. We would like to demonstrate the Black Country’s vibrant colourful past, present and future and the different backgrounds that have settled over the years and has made the Black Country as vibrant as it is today. Black Country Multicultural Day 2024 will be the fourth event following the success of the last 3 years in Dudley Town Centre and Halesowen. This event will bring people from the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton to come together into the heart of the Black Country to celebrate how diverse these borough's have become. Multicultural Day is about promoting understanding within our communities. When it comes to the Black Country, there is so much to LOVE and ADMIRE! 🖤❤️🤍

Did you know our glorious Black Country built the FIRST SUCCESSFUL STEAM ENGINE; aka the Newcomen engine!💪

Invented by Thomas Newcomen in 1712, it was first installed at Coneygree Coal Works in Tipton; used to pump water out of mines. You can see the world’s only full-scale replica of the Newcomen engine at the The Black Country Living Museum. 😁

AND...

The Black Country ALSO PRODUCED THE ANCHOR FOR THE TITANIC! 🛳️⚓️

N. Hingley & Sons Ltd was a large-scale chain and anchor manufacturing work based in Cradley. In 1911, they made the anchor for the Titanic. It was towed to the train station by 20 shire horses. 🤝

HEAT 8 – OUR FINAL HEAT BEFORE THE GRAND FINAL!

This Friday 19th June, we arrive at our final audition heat of Black Country You’ve Got Talent 2026 at the Dudley Ex-Servicemen’s Club, Hall Street, Dudley.

What a journey it has been so far! We’ve seen incredible singers, musicians, performers, dancers and entertainers from across the Black Country all competing for a place in the Grand Final.

But don't think the competition is over yet...

Heat 8 is shaping up to be one of the strongest heats of the entire competition, with another fantastic line-up of talented performers all hoping to secure that final place in the Grand Final.

Doors Open: 7.00pm
Show Starts: 7.30pm
Entry: £2.00

One winner from the night will join the other heat winners at the Grand Final on Friday 10th July 2026 at Spring Meadow Sports And Social Club Entertainment Page Spring Meadow, Old Hill, Cradley Heath, B64 6LB.

The Grand Final winner will receive:
• £250 Cash Prize
• Professional Studio Recording Session courtesy of Pirate.com
• Performance opportunities at Black Country Multicultural Day 2026 in Halesowen and Oldbury

When it comes to the Black Country, there is so much to LOVE and ADMIRE! ❤️🖤🤍

We love it so much we celebrate it every year with our Black Country Multicultural Day; and this year we have dedicated a whole weekend to it! 🤝

For some, it could be our famous ORANGE CHIPS (if you know you know); or our quirky local dialect and "yam-yam" roots; or, the amazing Black Country Living Museum offering an immersive look at the area's rich, industrial past. ☺️
