I’m really lucky to have a (get ready for all the ‘Fs’) Fantastic Fellow Flower Farmer Florist Friend in Nicky of Working alone can be a lonely business so it’s lovely to have someone to share the woes: “the deer have eaten my roses!”, and the highs: “yay, I’m sold out” and for identifying mystery seedlings or whether something is “A Nipper”! (When something needs pinching out to create a branching plant.) Nicky very kindly looked after my plot when I was away recently and has also been buying stems from me when she’s extra busy and I’ve been passing on customers to her when I can’t help. It’s not always about competition, it can also be about collaboration and new friendships
