Hops grown in Droxford.
Walked to our local.
Now hanging above the bar in The Bakers Arms I think that’s about as local as it gets!
These hops were grown right here in Droxford, picked from my garden, tied into garlands and then quite literally walked up the road to our local pub.
And where better for them to end up? Hops are, of course, one of the essential ingredients in beer, so they’re very much at home hanging above the pumps! They look beautiful, but they smell pretty good too — a little bit of our countryside brought indoors.
And I love that The Bakers Arms makes such an effort to make its customers feel welcome, with all the little touches that make the pub look and feel special. These garlands seem like the perfect finishing touch. Cheers!
