Yesterday I had the pleasure of helping Harriet celebrate her 6th birthday with family and friends! Harriet chose to paint initial canvases, which got blinged with many gems! They all then went on to make some amazing bouncing buddies, using silk clay and our bouncy, wobbly springs. They looked amazing and all the children were fantastically well behaved and creative. I hope they all enjoyed it as much as I did!

It’s an Arty Party day here at The Creation Station East Yorkshire, Driffield! I’m heading this afternoon to help Harriet and her friends celebrate her birthday with some of our fab activities from our new party brochure. They’ll be painting their own Initial canvases and making our brand new wobble heads! Don’t they look fun! I can’t wait to see what they all create! It was another fantastic afternoon at Cass Hall for the Driffield Town Council, Up, Up and Away family fun events. This week saw us fly off to New York and see the Statue of Liberty! The children had fun making models of the The Statue of Liberty, making crowns and torches to become the Statue of Liberty and made flying hot air balloons using real balloons and paper cups! Lots of giggles were had as they flew around the room! I wonder where we’ll explore next week? To find our join me next Friday for more Free crafty fun!

It was another amazing afternoon at Cass Hall for the ‘Up, Up and Away’ family afternoons the Driffield Town Council have put on again this summer. This week saw us soaring the skies in pop out hot air balloons, made from card, and making a pop up Taj Mahal picture! Great fun

We had such a Rock and Roll day yesterday for our K-pop themed holiday club! The children thought about who they would be if they were in a band, would they sing, play an instrument, dance or do it all? Would they be rock, pop, a band or a solo artist? We then made our own VIP concert passes, describing who we were, what we did and why we were a VIP! After we created fab microphones from card and pool noodles, adding sparkles, stars and more! The afternoon saw us creating our instruments from boxes, tubes, paper cups, card, paper, bottles and more. It was great to see the children use their imagination to create their own ideas and instruments and we had drums, guitars, shakers, keyboards and more created. The children were then ready to perform for us and parents at the end of the day! Another super day full of fun, creativity, laughs and making friends!

On Monday our Holiday Club had a Gaming theme sbd we thought about all types of games from arcade games, board games, sports games and puzzles! Our first activity saw us making our own arcade style claw toy from paper cups, which we found was fun to pick up our paper rubbish. We then made our own Tetris style puzzle where the children had to fit the blocks back in the grid. After lunch we made our own tic tac toe games by painting pebbles in bright colours and making a cute bag to keep them in which doubled as the board when opened. We spent lots of time playing our games before finishing the day making a traditional cup and ball toy using a paper cup again to decorate and a wooden bead to catch! It was a super day with lots of fun had!
