We've a busy week with Weddings and events coming up. But we're also proud to support one of our close friends and her charity event the 2026 Cliff Top Challenge.

This takes place on Saturday the 20th June with runners starting in the early hours of the morning and finishing on Walmer Green in the afternoon.

Whilst Jodie holds the fort at The Cider Works, and will be dusting off our running shoes (10 years since we last ran the marathon for some of us!) and taking part in support of this great cause.

There's also some great entertainment lined up too finishing with our own and her amazing band .tothefunction_band who will be bringing the party tunes from about 4.30pm on Walmer Green.

We encourage you to come along, support the runners and party along to one of the best local bands there is.

P.S Our June quiz evening will be in aid of this great charity event too. 25th June from 7pm, message, call or email to book.

Well, it didn't half rain yesterday and that with the 50mph winds meant plan B for Amber and Jack's ceremony was the way to go with guests seated in the barn, rather than on the patio. We moved the BBQ under cover too for their wedding breakfast so nobody got wet whilst getting their food. We were also able to put all their games indoors in the garden room for their guests to enjoy and then it was disco time in the barn.

We always plan ready for the worst and hope for the best and The Cider Works gives us so many options come rain or shine. Something to consider when planning your big day and choosing a venue?
