The unposed moments are by far my favourite. I do give some prompts when needed, for example β€œWho’s getting more drunk tonight?” in the photo 3rd to last 🀣

But really those moments where you think I’m not looking towards you are the ones I love to capture: a sister helping the bride changing into comfy trainers, a dad avoiding to trip on the dress, mom fixing the dress, husband and wife exchanging a glance and holding hands.

Every family is different and expresses affection differently. For me the fun part is discovering that gesture of affection and capturing it.

I was looking back at these photos I shot during a styled photo shoot at Rosebery Steading earlier this summer…

Part of my work as a photographer consists in revising my work and refining my style. I went to a photography exhibition yesterday in Edinburgh at Stills: Centre For Photography and I was very inspired by the work of Jillian Edelstein.

She has spent more than 40 years documenting people and defining moments of contemporary history. I know - I photograph weddings!! But they are just defining and pivotal moments in one person’s life.

Her remarkable and distinctive voice in capturing everyday lives inspired me to bring the same un-posed and realistic approach to weddings.

It’s funny because I’m obviously commenting this under a styled gallery… however, as much as possible, I tried to capture the Inbetween moments, when the model wasn’t posing.

For me, photography is also exploration in terms of colour, and I feel like this summer I definitely hit the right spot with soft and warm tones that still stick to reality.

So much left to explore in my photography journey, but I would’ve never imagined one year ago when I said to become a development planner that I would’ve eventually turned my career into mainly photography.

It’s an art that truly captured my heart and I just cannot have enough of taking photos of people in such a people moment of their lives.

For couples travelling to Scotland for a destination elopement, this Loch is ideal.

The Trossachs National Park is often overlooked, yet it remains my absolute favourite area for wild weddings. You get the breathtaking Munros, lush green scenery, and quiet lochs, but without the endless hours of driving.

Loch Venachar is a really special place for me. Living nearby, it has become my go-to spot whenever I need to recharge. For couples travelling to Scotland for a destination elopement, it's ideal. It keeps travel easy and affordable while giving you that authentic, wild Highland feeling.

There is something extraordinary about hearing the bagpipes echoing across the loch; the haunting sound completely grounds you in the landscape. It feels like taking a step back in time.

There is something special about holding a piece of family history and giving it a second life.

Finally picked up my dad’s film camera after getting it fully restored, and I am so excited to start shooting with it. Can’t wait to share my photography journey with you all !!
