Welcome to Sweet Pea Weddings & Events near Dorchester in Dorset.

Sweet Pea Weddings are proud to offer our services at a reasonable rate and be as flexible as we can. You have the options of dry hire and if needed we can help with delivery (but happy for you to collect to keep the cost down) We do not charge per day and are more than happy for you to collect a few days before and return a few days after. If you would like more help on your day, Sweet Pea offers

a service of setting up or Full or Partial Planning towards your special day. I am always available for a chat and a coffee and for you to come and take a look at the items you would like to hire. I LOVE nothing more than hearing about your plans and help making your day one never to forget and I love working on ideas, hunting and hand picking hidden gems to add to my growing collection of wedding props. I work on a one to one basis to ensure that Sweet Pea offers a unique and personal service so that each of my lovely brides gets that special event they have always dreamed of.

Had a little help from yesterday since it was 'take your child to work day' at his school. I could definitely get used to having him around to do all the heavy work for me, but I think he's quite happy to go back to school on Monday 😂

When a bride is flying in from New Zealand for her wedding and three days before the wedding she asks if there's a way to do an order of the day board, the answer is of course there is! I provided the board and easel, she provided the pens and creative writing and look how beautifully it turned out 😍 Just goes to show that not everything has to be organised and in place months in advance!

I've just been sent these stunning photos of our silver birch arch at an outdoor wedding at The Gaggle of Geese that happened towards the end of the summer. I delivered and set up the arch and also hired out our single ivory chiffon drape with it (as well as a few other bits!) The beautiful dried flowers were then added after I had left, so I didn't get to see the full effect until now and I think it looks gorgeous 😍 Send me a message if you would like to know more about our arch hire - or anything else!

I just thought I would share this photo to show why I don't post on my socials very much! This is my family (minus the cat who has a social life so busy that she has her own page, but I won't go into that now 😅)
When I'm not meeting couples, decorating venues or sitting at the computer, I'll mostly be found doing my best at looking after this lot! Like a lot of people I suffer with mum guilt, wife guilt, friend guilt, but I've also been suffering with social media guilt lately - in that I'm not supporting my business enough by posting photos of what I've been up to. But the truth is I'm just not very good at making it a priority!
So rather than post a photo of my props, I thought I would share this. This is me, juggling a pretty hectic life with my business, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I've just finished off a successful second season running Sweet Pea, and am looking forward to meeting all the clients and couples I'll be helping next year. In the meantime, I'll try and remember to post more about what I've been up to - but for now, I've got a dog to walk!

Had a last-minute request to create an arch for a lovely couple at Branksome Dean Room last week. The theme was rustic wood and sunflowers, so I created a mock-up for them before setting it up at the venue on the morning of their wedding - what a stunning location for a ceremony and they were so lucky with the weather 💕

Did you know that we can also offer catering for your event? This setup was for a Peaky Blinders themed 21st birthday party. 19 guests, a 3 course meal, and a murder mystery for the entertainment, a really fun evening to be a part of!
