Sweetpea Wedding and Event Hire Welcome to Sweet Pea Weddings & Events near Dorchester in Dorset.

Sweet Pea Weddings are proud to offer our services at a reasonable rate and be as flexible as we can. You have the options of dry hire and if needed we can help with delivery (but happy for you to collect to keep the cost down) We do not charge per day and are more than happy for you to collect a few days before and return a few days after. If you would like more help on your day, Sweet Pea offers a service of setting up or Full or Partial Planning towards your special day. I am always available for a chat and a coffee and for you to come and take a look at the items you would like to hire. I LOVE nothing more than hearing about your plans and help making your day one never to forget and I love working on ideas, hunting and hand picking hidden gems to add to my growing collection of wedding props. I work on a one to one basis to ensure that Sweet Pea offers a unique and personal service so that each of my lovely brides gets that special event they have always dreamed of.

Just received some taster photos from one of my brides of their beautiful summer wedding at the Gaggle of Geese Pub taken by Lucy Farrant Photography. This feels so long ago now but I loved creating their ceremony arch and helping the couple choose their decorations, it all came together perfectly!

Some more professional pics of one of my June weddings taken by Tom & Murray | Dorset Wedding Photographers photography. A beautiful set up at Purbeck House Hotel using our chair covers and green chair sashes with the moongate arch decorated for the ceremony, and ceiling drapes, lighting and white chair drapes in the reception room.
Hard to believe this was almost four months ago already!

Just a reminder that you don't have to hire, you can just ask for help!

Yesterday I set up for a wedding and the only thing they hired from me was my moongate arch. It was actually quite refreshing to be able to turn up with minimal props and just be given an instruction sheet and the materials to work with - it felt like the wedding version of 'Ready, Steady, Cook' 😂

Turns out it is possible to set up two weddings and take one down in one day but it wasn't easy - and the 30⁰ heat didn't help 😅 Huge congratulations to H & A who got married yesterday and best wishes to Z & C who are getting married today. It has been a pleasure being a part of your special days

Had a lovely day setting up in Swanage yesterday. First outing for the moongate arch with some pink and white flowers added, sage green sashes for the ceremony room and white drapes for the reception chairs with a sprig of eucalyptus. Also had a drop off at another venue beforehand so it was a busy day! All the best to both couples for today ❤️
