I just wanted to share some funeral tributes we have created recently. You, as my followers know how passionately I feel about funeral work and I thank the families for choosing me to create them for them.
The blue, purple, yellow and white casket spray was just absolutely beautiful. The family asked for a 'messy' spray, the flowers chosen and the way they just came together created a loose open, cottage garden style spray which honestly looked amazing.
A loose open, open heart was created for a younger woman who gained her angel wings far too young. My customer asked for something a bit different and for a younger person and liked the colours shown. Using greenery including skimmia, aspidistra leaves and trailing ivy with cerise gerbera, blue hydrangea, viburnum snowball, lisianthus 'bridal kiss', veronica and white achillea. A slightly more modern design that is a little bit different represented what my customer wanted perfectly.
Another customer asked for a spanner. The pre cut floral foam frame for a spanner is quite large and she didnt want to overshadow anyone else's flowers, so the knife came out and I cut my own and decided to mount it on a slightly bigger piece of designer board and finish it with laurel leaves and blue ribbon edge. A blue and white spray finished the spanner and it worked really well. Using an independent florist for your funeral flowers allows me to offer you alternative choices to create the tributes you really want, cutting this out of a designer board, customising it, and discussing alternatives offers that flexibility to my customers.
