Our Story
Hooton Pagnell Hall will be hosting a very small number of high-end weddings each year, catering for brides and grooms that are looking for a unique and exclusive experience. Situated in beautiful Yorkshire countryside and on the edge of the wonderful historic village, Hooton Pagnell Hall is a magnificent country mansion set in five acres of spectacular private gardens. Dating back to the 13th century, the Hall and its extensive gardens provide an idyllic and unique setting for your perfect wedding day and can be hired for the exclusive use of you and your guests, allowing you to celebrate your special day in style. Having been in the same family for over 300 years, there are only under 20 bespoke weddings planned to take place at the Hall in any year. Hooton Pagnell Hall is licensed for civil marriages and civil partnerships and can offer you a choice of six settings in which to host your wedding ceremony. You may choose from the newly refurbished Tithe Barn, or the wood panelled reception Hall & Drawing room, both ancient and beautiful rooms that are accessed through the medieval arch in the 13th century tower, the charming Summer House in the garden, outside under our stone gazebo the “Pavillion” which is unique to South Yorkshire or for a minimal style ceremony the Stone-cutter tower. If you wish, you may also hold your wedding ceremony in the delightful Norman Church of All Saints in Hooton Pagnell after consultation with the local Vicar. The Church is just a short walk from the Hall. After your wedding ceremony your guests are invited to wander through the beautiful gardens and relax on the terrace, whilst you make the most of the fantastic photographic opportunities afforded by our stunning grounds and historic architecture. Should the English weather disappoint, then the Tithe Barn, the Oak Hall and the Summer House both provide a wonderful back drop for your photographs and beautiful spaces for your drinks reception. There is a spectacular vista across the gardens and magnificent panoramic views across the rolling countryside and distant moors. Smaller parties will be able to dine in our beautiful Summer House which is situated in the middle of the private garden. This is a stunning setting for a more intimate ceremony and celebration. After your ceremony, you can move through to the gardens or to the Tithe Barn which houses your bar & dancing area, whilst we prepare the Summer House for dining. Within the main Hall there is a beautiful garden suite that is available to the Bride and Bridal party for preparations prior to the ceremony. There is also a five bedroom accommodation available to the Bridal party in the Edwardian wing of the Hall, providing immediate family with accommodation on site. Hooton Pagnell Hall is also surrounded by an excellent range of local accommodation to suit all budgets, both in the village and within the surrounding area. Ceremony numbers are from 6 to 150 guests.
Seated dining numbers are from 60 to 120 guests.
Evening reception & dancing numbers are from 60 to 150 guests.
