Heather and Adam's really took to heart the idea of doing their wedding, their way.

With an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful secret garden to reflect Heather's love of wild places, an intimate ring warming to allow guests the chance to give their best wishes... And even a mid-ceremony prank! ( I never imagined being asked to dress as an elf in order so a Groom to play one last prank on his Best Man... But I loved it!)

A ceremony full of love, laughter, and memories. An afternoon in the sunshine where two families came together to celebrate the love of two clearly very loved up people.

This one was special, and not just for the latex ears, but for all the attention to detail - from the ceremony in the round, to the hand painted candles, and the most wonderfully embroidered ring warming cushion.

So personalised. So special. So them. ❤️

(I think I rather suit my elf look. Maybe it should become part of my standard wedding kit, what do you think?!)

🌸dressed as an elf to land a LotR in-joke
🌸did some social media stalking to find their early interactions
🌸covered a bride's modesty as she changed outfits in a woodland!

I also carry tissues as standard!

Love is... Unique!

My hubby and I have this weird little ritual. We're not sure where it started. It wasn't planned or constructed. It just happened: We buy each other cards with the best puns possible!

It is these little things in a relationship that I love unearthing in discovery calls with couples. The in jokes. The memories. The little things you do that make your relationship special. It's in these little incidental moments where the ceremony magic lies.

Laughter, smiles and all the feels.

The city of Wells has a special place in my heart.

❤️ It's simply gorgeous, with so many little nooks and crannies, steeped in history and perfect for photos.

🎶 I've sung at the fabulous Cathedral, both as a child and as an adult with The Fulltone Orchestra

💍I've had the pleasure of attending many weddings there - including my own back in 2008!

🎥 I LOVE the Cornetto trilogy! (For those of you that don't know, Wells is the rural location of "Sandford" in Hot Fuzz.) For The Greater Good.

I'm very excited to be returning to my old stomping ground on 6th October for the loveactuallyweddings Wedding Fayre at the simply GORGEOUS Bishops Palace Bishop's Palace & Gardens bishopspalaceweddings_events_

HOW WEDDINGS ARE LIKE DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS 🎲🐉

Your first response to this might be "huh?!" but stay with me here.

I've played DnD for a number of years, both as a player but also as a Dungeon Master or, if you're more familiar with the lingo, DM.

It's a brilliant way to be creative and to share that with a group of friends.

Regardless of whether TTRPGs are your bag, or whether or not you know your Bards from your Barbarians, if you're looking for a Wedding Celebrant who is creative and adaptable why not give me a message!

Yes, it's cheesy, but I love Eurovision.

It's a night of music and pure joy. Eurovision, or E-Day in my household, is an annual calendar event. So much so that I somehow ended up having my eldest on a Eurovision weekend... She clearly didn't want to miss the party. So now we ALWAYS have an excuse to have a gathering for Eurovision.🥳

Eurovision is about uniqueness and acceptance. About showing our creativity and shared passions. And owning a moment. And all of these are wonderful themes for a wedding ceremony.

You don't need to go all in, but if you're a Eurovision super fan, or the worlds largest song contest holds a special place in your heart then why not consider weaving some subtle references in to your wedding day. With a celebrant led wedding anything is possible

Expectations Vs Reality 🌈

One of the wonderful things I love about being a celebrant is helping couples get the day they want - regardless of their background, their spiritual standpoint or sexuality.

I never have any expectations when I meet with couples, because when you approach conversations with a blank slate it allows for a couple's personality and passion points to shine through, and these are the little nuggets that I want to really polish. ✨

Why should your wedding ceremony be like millions of others before it? It's your special day and should be as unique as you are!
