A message from Damian:

Some of you may have seen the story shared by a TWIA judge on the panel for the Hair Stylist category and the Makeup Artist category that stirred up some turbulence among makeup and hair artists in the wedding industry.

The judge in question is, without doubt, passionate about the industry and cares deeply about it. However, it is vital for the integrity and rigour of the awards process that each judge’s opinions should be confined to and demonstrated by the results of the Awards.

I had a conversation with the Judge in question earlier today, and we agreed that they should step down from the TWIA panel with immediate effect and that their judging will not be counted in Award results.

TWIA has, and always will be, an ardent supporter and champion of all wedding businesses. We strive to create a supportive, encouraging and positive community of like-minded wedding business owners who work tirelessly for their couples week in, week out, and to provide a platform from which they can shine even more.

We wish all Regional Finalists the very best of luck in the awards and can’t wait to see who the winners will be.

Yours sincerely
Damian Bailey
Founder & Chairman of the Judging Panel

Where do the parties stand on humanist issues?

Drawing from Manifestos and our latest correspondence with party officials, we've compiled the seven largest parties' positions on nine of the priority issues we're campaigning on at this election.

These reflect nine humanist issues whose outcomes may be impacted by the election, but we know the election is made up of many wider issues for voters to consider. We don't recommend or endorse any political parties, but we do offer this analysis in the hopes that it will be useful to anyone weighing up their options ahead of 4 July.

And to everyone who's postal voted already, thank you! 🗳✅
