We’re delighted to announce William McColgan, Director of McColgan’s, will be joining us at Innofest 2026! 🥂

Williams Career began as a trainee actuarial consultant with Mercer in Dublin and segued into the technology of actuarial valuations, a role which took him from Dublin to Germany to America. Whilst working as a Partner with Mercer in Philadelphia, William emerged from the Wharton School with an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management. A move to Boston followed with roles in the Insurance industry, as well as 5 years growing a Princeton-spun-out ed-Tech artificial intelligence start-up. William returned to Ireland in 2020 when he and his sister purchased a family business established by their grandfather. This transaction completed in 2022 and they have been transforming the company through culture, process, and technology initiatives since then.

Catherine King is the Founder and CEO of LifeCellsNI, a Derry~Londonderry based life sciences company developing Northern Ireland’s first dedicated cell storage and contingency biobank facility, designed to operate under Human Tissue Authority governance.
With a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and experience spanning in multiple laboratories and the pharmaceutical industry, Catherine combines scientific expertise with an ambitious vision for healthcare innovation.
Under her leadership, LifeCellsNI secured £590,000 in pre seed investment to advance its cryogenic storage and laboratory processing hub. Catherine is passionate about strengthening the North West’s life sciences ecosystem, expanding regional participation in advanced therapies and regenerative medicine, and transforming innovative ideas into infrastructure with lasting impact for families, researchers and healthcare providers.
