We hold floral demonstrations with exhibits raffled off at the end of the evening, a sales table and book stall and refreshments. This is a thriving club with over 60 members of all ages. It's run and organised by volunteers from its membership and has been running for over 40 years.
We're affiliated to the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS). Our club is part of the Norwich group which in turn is a member of the East of England Area.
Club nights are held throughout the year at Toftwood Village Hall on Shipdham Road on the 4th Thursday of each month. Each club night includes a floral demonstration by an area or national NAFAS demonstrator and a flower arranging competition. We have an exciting tradition of raffling off the arrangements made by demonstrators which helps support the funding of the club meetings and the programme of events. There are sales tables of garden and flower arranging books, plants and essential flower arranger’s items such as floral foam, trays and club aprons. Doors open from 6.45pm with flower demonstrations starting at 7.30pm.
The club organises a full programme of events throughout the year; a summer garden party, garden visits, workshops where you can practice flower arranging techniques and competitions. There are also two special open evenings at the Memorial Hall in town (April and November) with a buffet, shopping stalls, floral demonstrations and a raffle.
Members are kept up-to-date with news and what’s coming up via a monthly newsletter and on our page.
The Club’s chairman, Corinne Steward, and all the Committee look forward to welcoming visitors and new members to our friendly club. Corinne can be contacted on 01362 693286 with any queries.
