Dereham & District Flower Club News, information and events from Dereham & District Flower Club, Norfolk, UK. Workshops feature regularly on our annual programme.

Dereham & District Flower club usually meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at Toftwood Village Hall, 47 Shipdham Road, Toftwood NR19 1JL and is open to members and visitors alike. We hold floral demonstrations with exhibits raffled off at the end of the evening, a bric-a-brac and book stall and refreshments. We also hold one open evening per year in April when visitors are invited to come along. We celebrate our Golden Anniversary (50 years) in 2026 and the club continues to thrive.

🎀 FESTIVE WREATH MAKING WORKSHOPS IN SWANTON MORLEY VILLAGE HALL — TAKING BOOKINGS NOW! 🎀

What a fabulous evening we had at Club last night! 🤩 We were thoroughly entertained by Andrew Key, an Area Demonstrator from Lincolnshire, who certainly did us proud with his wonderful array of exhibits and stunning arrangements.

Andrew not only wowed us with his creative talents, but also kept us entertained throughout the evening with his amusing anecdotes, plenty of interaction and, of course, his wonderfully patient and long-suffering assistant! 😁 There was certainly no shortage of laughter along with the floral inspiration!

The good news is that Andrew has kindly given us permission to photograph all of his exhibits, so we can share and enjoy his creations afterwards too.

We were also delighted to have lots of lovely competition entries from members, which received many well-deserved compliments and accolades from Andrew. It was especially thoughtful of him to complete comment cards for every entrant — something our members always find incredibly helpful and encouraging.

All in all, it was a night to remember, filled with fabulous flowers, inspiration, laughter and a great deal of talent. 🌸✨

Reminder that our next Club night is this Thursday, 27th August. Everybody's welcome. Andrew Key is a wonderful demonstrator and will be very entertaining 🪷🌺🌻

Don't forget the competition this month is NO FOAM. Look forward to seeing everybody back in the hall after our lovely Summer garden visits.

Members and guests of Dereham & District Flower Club thoroughly enjoyed the outing arranged by the President, Helen Evans, to FLORAL MEDIA, at The Woovers, Norwell Road, Caunton, Newark, Notts NG23 6AQ yesterday (15th August). Highly recommended. The day included a great start with tea, coffee and biscuits. A tour of the site which showed the artistic and varied assortment of hard work and show cased a selection of quality plant material and the use of assorted containers for the garden was a delight to view. A delicious lunch was provided 😋. The purchase of plants, garden products, flowers and other related plant material ended the day beautifully. The hand tie raffle demonstration for the cancer charity arranged by Paula was won by Helen Evans. Lucky lady.
