Firstly, what does it actually mean?
No corkage at The West Mill means you get to bring your own drinks for your reception and wedding breakfast, and we chill and serve them for you.

What's the benefit?
You get to choose drinks that reflect your personalities and the vision for your day. You also get to shop around and save yourselves some money. This means more freedom to customise your day & budget allocation.

And what if you don't want to organise your own drinks?
Well, that's simple: you just choose the right package through our catering team, Jenkinsons.

What about the bar?
The bar opens after your wedding breakfast, or for a small fee, we can open it all day, alongside your no-corkage drinks.

Our last history post went down a storm, so now let's look at what's left of our industrial heritage 📸

As you walk through The West Mill, you'll be met with constant reminders of the life our venue had before weddings - beautiful features from when buildings had soul, walls that have watched time pass for 200+ years and marks left by those who were here all that time ago.

We think it's incredibly special, and preserving this space is so important to us. But more than that, sharing it with you all and creating more incredible memories is the most rewarding thing ever.

A genuinely surprising number of couples view our venue and are shocked at just how much outdoor space we have!

Running alongside the river Derwent, we're blessed to have a gorgeous pathway leading from our courtyard, right down to our own little orchard. It's a tranquil area, set back from the buzz of your drinks reception, with just the flow of the river as your soundtrack.
