A lovely weekend of business and pleasure!

I’ve had a fantastic weekend away, spending one night at The Met in Leeds and one night at the Hilton Newcastle. We even had time for some fun and Games at the Fayre Play.

It’s always great to combine a little pleasure with business and experience hotels first-hand. Both hotels would be great options for my clients looking for somewhere to stay, whether for a meeting, conference or a little getaway.

🐎 What a fabulous couple of days! 🐎

Two weeks ago Ella and I were lucky enough to be invited on a FAM trip to Jackdaws Castle, the racing stables run by the one and only Jonjo O’Neill.

We stayed the night before at Hawkwell, which was the perfect start to the trip, followed by a lovely BBQ in the evening with great food, drinks and plenty of laughs!

Then it was off to Jackdaws Castle the following day to have a look around the racing stables and get a real behind-the-scenes insight into the world of horse racing.

Being that close to the horses was pretty special and Ella absolutely loved it too!

A huge thank you to the lovely Chris Ford from Accor Hotels for inviting us. We had such a brilliant time.

It’s definitely one of the perks of what we do, discovering fabulous places and experiences that we can then share with our clients.

What an incredible night!

Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of bringing together the East Midlands Elite group for a very special charity evening at the National Space Centre in Leicester, and what a night it was and what a venue !

Together, we raised an incredible £17,000+ for Maggie’s Cancer Centre Nottingham.

There was plenty of fun, laughter, amazing raffle prizes and some fantastic auction lots, but most importantly, everyone came together to support such an incredible cause.

A huge thank you to every single person who attended, donated, sponsored, provided prizes, placed bids and helped make the evening such a success.

We genuinely couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you. Your generosity and support have helped us raise an incredible amount of money for Maggie’s, which will make a real difference to people living with cancer and their families.

And finally, a massive WELL DONE to the East Midlands Elite committee for putting on such an amazing charity event. What a team!

The Meeting Space - Stockholm…

I’ve just returned from TMS Stockholm, hosted at the beautifully refurbished Sheraton Hotel, followed by an extra night at the stunning Grand Hôtel for Destination Day. For me, this event is without doubt the highlight of my international industry calendar.

The blend of quality suppliers, flawless organisation by the TMS team and their DMC partners, exceptional hosts, and memorable off‑site dinners made it outstanding from start to finish. Add in the time spent with industry friends, always a pleasure and so many new contacts opening exciting opportunities for our clients… it’s collaboration at its best and truly what makes this event one not to be missed.

From dining where Nobel Prize winners once sat to exploring behind the scenes at the Grand and soaking up the rich history of Stockholm, with time to see additional meeting space in Stockholm & an archipelago cruise it has been a real privilege.

I’ve been fortunate to visit many outstanding hotels, but Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab has truly set a new standard.

The staff here are some of the most attentive I’ve ever experienced, from the service team and pool staff to the wonderful buggy drivers. Every interaction was warm, professional, and seamless. You are all to be commended.

Our room was one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in, complete with stunning views of the iconic Burj Al Arab. Waking up to that skyline each morning and watching the sunset was unforgettable.
