A mixed day for me today.

Early EMA, mid morning wedding transfer for some very dapper Groomsmen and then my favourite part of the week .....
Snow foam Saturday 😂

D2 and D17 have had a maintenance wash and D21 has had a heavy duty wash to bring it up to scratch for next week .... I'd forgotten just much i enjoyed listening to my tunes and washing cars lol

It’s been a little while since we’ve done one of our “what have we been up to" posts. so here’s what life has been like at A52 over the last few weeks.

Airport runs, business travel, hotel collections, golf days, long-distance journeys and plenty of miles up and down the country.

The cars have been spotted everywhere from Heathrow and Gatwick to London hotels. golf clubs and country retreats, while back at A52 House the new wash bay has been getting plenty of use keeping everything looking as it should.

The BMW i7 continues to be a bit of a favourite with clients and chauffeurs alike, particularly when there’s time between jobs to make use of the rear lounge seat, grab a coffee and put the Theatre Screen to good use!

It’s not always the most glamorous side of the chauffeur business early starts, late finishes, airport waiting and a lot of cleaning in between, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

😲 And thats exactly why you pick a reliable and safe airport transfer service ... such as ... well you know the rest 😆

So imagine you are excited to go on your dream holiday and you book your car into a meet and greet parking service and you get directed to a dusty insecure piece of waste land near the town centre to park your car, you and your family are then put into a minibus which is dirty and unsafe and, you are then driven to the airport by an uninsured driver with no licence.
You then spend the rest of your holiday worrying what will happen to your car while you are away.

Today our armed response officers while patrolling the airport footprint have stopped a minibus driven by an uninsured and un licenced driver working for a meet and greet company which has led to the vehicle being seized and the driver being prosecuted.

Before booking this service, please visit the LLA website and use an approved service that has permission to operate out of the airport.

We have recently had reports of Damaged vehicles, items missing or stolen, millage where their vehicles have been used while they are away and even vehicles being stolen.

Sneaky sneaky Birmingham Airport 🤔

Drop off at BHX is £7 ... we can argue until the cows come home on wether the airports should be charging you to bring airline passengers who are paying a small fortune to fly from there but it's a nice little earner that they have cottoned on to and they aren't going to kill the golden goose.

Well, i thought it was £7 .. except this morning i dropped off and my account got charged £8 ... nothing on their socials or website to let us know the price is going up, didn't notice the increase on the sign at the car park ..... but yep, £8 to drop off now ... that's a 14.3% increase, overnight, without telling anybody

Very sneaky !!

Anyway, to celebrate the great British rip off of airport drop off charges have a picture of D17 trying to sneak in and out without paying ( it didn't work - every one see's the I7 coming from a mile off lol)

Whilst the A(52) Team have been hoovering up the Air & Sea ports today with several trips to Heathrow amongst Lutons, Southamptons and a nice trip to Cambridge I've been mixing work with pleasure :D

Whilst on a fact finding recce for a week long tour of the Peak District for American clients later on in the month i decided to get a bit of trail action in with a 16 mile ride up and down the Monsal Trail ... and what a lovely day for it ☀ 🚵

Well what a pleasant day i've had so far.
Early EMA drop off followed by a drop off at Heathrow in D3 and then a 5 hour wait for one landing to bring me back up to Derby.

So i've visited the Runnymede Airforce Memorial, which was very sobering and then had a nice 7k walk through the woods and meadows down to the Magna Carta and back .... this job is great when you plan properly and remember your shorts, t shirt and a picnic :D

At some point in the very near future i'll be boring you with pictures from Mexico of me up an Aztec Pyramid and snorkelling with Turtles ( i use the term snorkelling quite loosely - drowning may be a better descriptor lol) but in the mean time have some rather nice images of what the A Team have been up to whilst i've been sending them picture os of cocktails and swimming pools lol

I'm back! 🇲🇽✈️🇬🇧

After 10 days of sunshine, cocktails and pretending not to look at my emails, normal service has resumed at A52 HQ ... and England are into the semi finals of the world cup :o

I returned to discover two things...

Derbyshire is currently hotter than parts of Mexico
and
Our drivers have been collecting an impressive quantity of half-drunk bottles of water left behind by clients.

Now, rather than pouring perfectly good water down the drain during a heatwave, we've decided to put it to good use.

The cars have never been so hydrated with a washer bottle full of premium French mineral water!

On a serious note though, it seemed daft to waste litres of clean drinking water when it can be reused to keep the windscreens clean and help us recycle a little more. The bottles themselves all head off to the recycling centre too.

Every little helps, and if it saves using fresh tap water during the current hot weather, that's a win in our book.

So if you spot one of our cars this week with exceptionally sparkling glass... you'll know the secret 😂
