We’re so excited to share that we’re bringing Ribbons Network to the Bracknell area, and we’ve found just the person to lead the way!

Meet Carla! 👋

A mum of one, UW Warehouse partner, equestrian rider and coach, and massage therapist, Carla is no stranger to juggling multiple businesses and thriving as she does so!

Having first joined Ribbons as a member in Wi******er, she knows the value of being part of a network that brings people together, builds connections and helps business owners move forward.

And when we recently asked Carla…

✨ “If you had a twin, what’s the most important bit of advice you would give them?”

Her answer? “Get out of your own way.”

And honestly, we LOVE this! 🎀

It’s exactly this kind of energy, mindset and willingness to take that next step that makes us know Carla is going to be a brilliant host.

Someone who will bring local business people together to connect, inspire one another, share ideas and leave feeling motivated to move their businesses forward.

Creating spaces that change people, businesses and lives.

It might sound a little dramatic to describe a networking meeting this way… but hear us out!

Because whilst networking might be what brings people through the door, it’s what happens when they get there that makes it so much more.

We create spaces where people feel comfortable enough to open up, be vulnerable and step outside their comfort zone.

Where they can share what they do, ask those slightly scary questions, learn from others, hear exactly what they need at just the right time, and find some of the biggest supporters they’ll have on their business journey.

And that’s just the beginning.

Time and time again, we hear from our members about the difference being part of Ribbons has made, not just to their businesses, but to their confidence, their connections and their lives.

So no, we don’t think it’s dramatic to say we create spaces that change people, businesses and lives. It’s what we see happening around us every single day.

There’s been some exciting movement behind the scenes at BUSINESS NETWORKING UK

Today we had a meeting with someone who’s exploring what becoming a Ribbons host could look like.

And these are conversations we really enjoy.

Because becoming a host isn’t simply about running a networking meeting.

It’s about becoming part of the Ribbons team, building a community in your local area and having the opportunity to shape what that looks like around you.

It can work alongside an existing business, bringing together your own experience, personality and local connections with the support and community that already exists within Ribbons.

And as we continue to grow, bringing new hosts into the team has become a really big focus for us.

So seeing conversations like this starting to happen?

Very exciting.

We’re looking forward to seeing where this next chapter takes The Ribbons Network and all the new communities that could become part of it. 🎀

That back-to-school feeling is creeping in… anyone else?

There’s something about this time of year that naturally gets us thinking about routines, a little more structure and what we want the next few months to look like.

September always seems to bring that feeling of a fresh start. New notebooks, shiny new pencil cases ✏️, new plans and that little bit of motivation to get organised again.

And we’re feeling it too at The Ribbons Network Surrey.

Our August meetings have now come to an end, and we’re looking forward to bringing that refreshed ‘back-to-school’ energy into our September meetings. It’s something we always notice at this time of year, people coming back feeling motivated, ready to reconnect and excited about what’s ahead.
