Moving to the north Devon coastline… Johns of Instow and Appledore!

We’ve been working with Anthony and the team at the ‘John’s of…’ stores for over a year now and have delighted in the ambling trip up north to supply our county’s other coastline with delicious, award winning scotch eggs.

⚓🚣 John's of Instow and Appledore have been serving the shores of the River Torridge for almost 100 years with the first ‘John’ Dick running legs across the River Torridge delivering supplies to either shore and 4 generations later, you have Anthony and Sue at the helm. More recently, they’ve added the Instow Beach Hut to their trio of outlets. Award winning for their range of deli items (INCLUDING Shepherd Shack’s trio of GOLD award winners – 🥇 The Artisan, Jafar and Mediterranean scotch eggs…), hamper offerings and customer service – we’re very pleased to count them as one of our original north Devon coast clients. 😋

🍦 Pop up, take a visit – it really is a beautiful part of our county! 😍

🎥 THROWBACK THURSDAY! 🎥🧐

Back in 2022, we had a small range of scotch eggs and upon applying to be a member with Food Drink Devon, we were accepted and decided to enter our top 3 performing eggs into their judging and awards. We won 3 GOLDS! 🥇🥇🥇

3 years later and they are still in the top performing flavours - The Artisan, The Jafar and The Mediterranean all returned this Spring on the same menu, just as they did in 2022. We're still pretty proud of these 3 - we hope you continue to enjoy and celebrate them too!
