I have always been interested in sound and lighting from a very young age. After studying electronic engineering at university, I moved into the heady world of IT where I still work today. Sound and lighting has always been a passion for me and all of my non-working time was being spent honing my lighting and sound skills in local amateur theatre and working with local bands. I still consider myse

lf an amateur but I have worked with some of the most professional amateurs you could hope to meet. Finally I got fed up with hiring poor equipment that literally on one occasion caught fire and had to be carried out of the building with flames pouring out of the back of the amplifier. I decided to start buying my own equipment. Charging nominal amounts for my work, I was able to put any profits into buying more equipment until I now own a considerable amount of sound and lighting gear (see my Hire list) which I am able to utilise for a wide range of events and also hire out for others to use. Don't be put off by the prices on the hire list - there is always room for negotiation and you would be amazed at what can be done on a shoestring budget. When working for local churches and charities, I will often charge a nominal amount to cover expenses. I look forward to meeting your needs.

So I've just spent 4 weeks working on The Sound of Music in the historic Eynsford castle. About 5 miles of cable, lots of lighting, 15 piece live band and 27 radio mics. An amazing show which Discosaurus were happy to be involved in.

So this summer will be a busy one. I have prizegiving for a local school and then it's full on for an outdoor production of the Sound of Music in Eynsford Castle. I'm responsible for all heavy power and audio design. Really looking forward to spending three weeks in a field :-)
