There comes a time when as individuals and as a company, you make as many changes as you can for the better, regarding the impact we all make on the environment. We look inside ourselves and say, whatever I do how can it make a difference? ♻️
We all have a responsibility when it comes to climate change, so we have made the decision to discard as much single use plastic from our products and stock selection.
Ellinor’s Ice cream have decided to take a lead in their industry and become one of the first ice cream van hire companies to go SINGLE USE PLASTIC FREE AS POSSIBLE. 🥇
This means we have found the best, environmentally friendly alternatives and are putting these in place. We can’t wait to show you what our menu’s have in store and what new adjustments we have made since last year. 📋
Recycling is still a big part in the way we operate, and we will continue to recycle items that can be used again. We kindly ask the public to do the same if we hand you an item that can be recycled, reused, or composted. 🚮♻️
Being one of the first will result in an increase in costs to the company, as sourcing products and sundries isn’t easy, but we feel this is a small price to pay to help in any way we can with the climate crisis. 🌎🌎🌎
With the changes we have already made to our menus and products, we will always continue to find even more alternatives regarding the way suppliers package their products to us and purchase the friendliest alternative for our environmental impact. 🌳
So, the conclusion is, will it be 100% plastic free? Not yet, the company forecasts a 90% expectation so not quite perfection. BUT this will be the target for the future. 🎯
Company spokesperson Mark Ellinor said, “we feel this is the right message to send out to the public and children we meet at events and school fetes and fairs, and each generation influences the next”. 💬
