The best decision I've ever made as a small business owner is to stay true to myself and my values, regardless the cost.
I've built this business around my little boy and that's my priority for the foreseeable. He is 7 and goes with me to most of my setups. If he is not welcome, please know that I'm not a good match for your event.
I don't match anyone's quotes, I don't negotiate my prices, I don't match a quote I've given 5 years ago. I don't take away from my child to save someone else a penny. Equally, I won't have anyone tell me that I'm under or overpricing. Every business is free to set their own prices based on their own variables. My work isn't for any other business to price.
I don't compromise on safety or quality. I use my props and my balloons that I can guarantee for. No shade on Amazon kits, but those are for DIY jobs.
I don't copy anyone's work like for like. It's inconsiderate and unprofessional. I gladly accept inspiration pictures from any creator, that's not an issue.
My job is to please my clients, not to chase instagram trends.
I gladly adapt my style to whatever the client likes. If my client prefers a skinny S shape, I do a skinny S shape. If my client likes a fuller garland, that's what we're doing. This is where sending inspo pictures comes in handy!
