Hi 👋🏻 I’m Rebecca, a professional Gardener and Florist based in Darlington.

I have worked a gardener and florist for 15 years, both in the educational and private sector settings where I have acquired qualifications in Horticulture, Floristry and a most recently a BSc Environmental Science degree.

I’m a nature-lover, at my happiest when outdoors and value sustainability and biodiversity. I always try to promote these elements into garden design and whilst undertaking gardening tasks. Working alongside, not against nature is an ethos I strongly believe in.
I have experienced the healing powers of gardens first-hand their powerful yet beneficial impacts, whether that is creating a garden for myself , or growing my own herbs and vegetables to consume. Reconnecting with nature through gardening is incredibly important for physical and mental wellbeing: attributes I strongly stand by.

I have just started my own business offering an array of gardening and floristry services that include: garden maintenance, garden design, container planting and maintenance, pond design and management and house dressings.

I’ve enjoyed my time maintaining and managing the gardens for TAG at Runa Farm. I’ve learnt so much more about plants 🌱 garden design and management, working solely and as part of a team.

•Early Summer at The Croft Hotel•
This week I’ve been working at this hotels’ gardens, weeding, pruning, watering every plant in sight, and replenishing their window boxes. We used Salvia, Sage, Ivy, and Geraniums.

It has been so gorgeous watching the beautiful blooms open up; Peonies, Wisteria and Clematis all are unfurling and looking divine.
