🚴‍♂️ RUGBY LEGENDS ARRIVE AT BLACKWELL MEADOWS! 🚴‍♀️

Darlington RFC is proud to welcome the Lewis XV Cycle Challenge to Blackwell Meadows on Sunday 14th June, as a team of rugby legends take on an incredible 500-mile journey from Newcastle to Twickenham in support of the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

The riders will be stopping at Blackwell Meadows between 12pm and 1.45pm, and we'd love our members, supporters and the local community to come along and give them a huge Darlington welcome!

🏉 Joining the ride are some of rugby's biggest names, including:

• Tom Croft
• Martin Corry

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet rugby legends, take photos, show your support, and help raise awareness and vital funds for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

🏉 All Senior League Allocations Confirmed for 2026/27 🏉

We can now confirm the final piece of the puzzle for the 2026/27 season, with our 3rd XV receiving their league allocation for the coming campaign.

With the 1st XV, 2nd XV and now 3rd XV leagues all confirmed, preparations can really begin as we look ahead to another exciting season of rugby at Darlington RFC.

We can’t wait to welcome teams to Blackwell Meadows and continue building on the progress made throughout the club in recent years.

📅 Fixtures will be released in due course, and we’ll share them as soon as they are confirmed.

🏉 2026/27 League Allocations Confirmed 🏉

Following the recent league restructure and the introduction of 2nd XV sides into the RFU league pyramid, we can now confirm the opposition for both our 1st XV and 2nd XV for the 2026/27 season.

The new campaign promises plenty of exciting local fixtures, along with the opportunity to renew rivalries and face several clubs that Darlington RFC has not met in league competition for a number of years.

We’re already looking forward to the challenges ahead and seeing how both squads develop throughout the season.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in the restructuring process, and we wish all clubs the very best for the upcoming season.

📢 We are still awaiting confirmation of the league allocation for our 3rd XV and will share details as soon as they are announced.

As another fantastic season comes to an end at Darlington Rugby Football Club, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made it so special ending on our 50th Mini & Junior Festival.

To all the coaches — thank you for your time, commitment, patience, and encouragement throughout the season. Your hard work on and off the pitch helps every player grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game.

To the volunteers — thank you for everything you do behind the scenes. From organising events and fixtures to helping on match days, the club simply couldn’t run without your dedication and support. You are all superstars!

And to all the parents and families — thank you for the early mornings, lifts to training and matches, sideline support, and constant encouragement throughout the year. Your support means everything to the players and the club.

Most importantly, well done to all the players for your effort, teamwork, and determination this season. You’ve all done the club proud.
Here’s to a well-earned break and another great season ahead at Darlington RFC!
