✨ THE MAGIC THAT WAS GRANT FEST '24 ✨

We absolutely loved designing and planning this at-home festival for our clients 60th birthday - it's certainly one we won't forget in a hurry!

We designed, orchestrated, planned & coordinated the entire event from start to finish. A multi-supplier event like this requires careful planning and precision to make sure all aspects are executed to the highest of standards.

The event was a 3 day festival, with everything from gong bathing and sound baths, to 12ft high murals & fire pits, to a full festival line up of music! 🤯

Every minute was planned out with every eventuality covered. We don't mess around when it comes to a once in a lifetime celebration!

We'll share more details soon of who we used; our carefully selected trusted suppliers who made the festival what it was, and some more inspo pics to get you dreaming of those summer festival days ahead 😎

I thought it was only right to give my little squish her own spot on the grid! 🥰

Florence is my little shadow. From laying on a baby play mat whilst I did market research, to being squished under boxes in my car, to riding in the front row seat of my van and helping with event set ups!

She's always saying "I loveeee this mummy" whenever I'm putting together party boxes, making decor or creating moodboards. Her favourite thing is to grab her mini (toy) laptop and sit next to me and "work" whilst I do.

I'm so grateful but also privileged to be able to run my own business and to show Florence that if she ever wanted to be her own boss then there's nothing that can stop her!

This week's sustainable supplier spotlight is on the team at 🌿✨

We have worked with Andrew & Ross a number of times and they always go above and beyond when we instruct them on an event plan.

One of our favourite things about them is how hard they work to bring in local products to sell in their mobile bar & food trailer.

Planning on throwing a garden party next summer? 🌞😎

We planned the whole of our clients garden party to celebrate a special someone's 70th birthday!

The client asked for the party tents to be setup with an “All things bright & beautiful” theme based on their favourite song. This is the hidden part of event planning, the meticulous detail to bring your personalities out in every element of your event.

Bright bunting, paper lanterns, tissue paper pom poms and honey combs decorated the inside of the marquee. Whilst to maximise the space and still be sheltered from the unpredictable April British weather... the tables and chairs were set up in a banquet-arch style.

Colourful bud vases filled with hand-picked (by me!), locally grown tulips lined the tables with classic white linen and biodegradable table confetti dusted across the top to give it an extra special feel.

Festoon lighting was provided across the ceiling of the party tents to add warmth and atmosphere into the early evening. We left a basket of blankets to make sure guests were kept toasty whilst they continued to party after the sun went down!

Oink, Cluck, Moo - Saoirse is turning 2! 🥰

A gorgeous couple enquired with me asking if I could create a birthday with a farm theme for their daughter who was turning 2. Naturally I said - of course!

From straw hats to farmyard gift boxes, I tried to incorporate the theme wherever I could. They asked me to coordinate the party from start to finish, answering guest questions, making sure any dietary requirements were adhered too, keeping the activities under control & tidy, replenishing snacks/drinks when needed, managing the gift table, gathering guests for the happy birthday song, cutting up the cake & handing out the gift boxes.

All these elements are sometimes overlooked by busy parents when planning a party for their child - don't let that be you! I'm here to take that stress away and coordinate the party on your behalf, so you can be one of the guests 😁

Fun fact - I was a Covid bride! (Or not so fun when we had to replan everything...)

Josh & I got engaged in 2019 and wanted a summer 2020 wedding...Covid changed that for us! So we had to replan and reschedule everything to summer 2021, where thankfully 5 days before our wedding date Boris decided it was ok to have garden weddings again! Good job as well, because our marquee had already been put up 😜

And yes, that's me....climbing a 5 bar gate in a wedding dress. If you know me well this wouldn't surprise you, if you don't know me, this is the kind of stuff I do without a second thought!

I'm not afraid of taking risks and I'm always up for a challenge 😎

Planning an event is as easy as saying Ta-dah right?!

Let me give you my top 5 absolute go-to's when I first engage with a client...

✨Set a goal for the event - are you trying to raise awareness, money or celebrate something?

✨Come prepared to our consultation with a budget in mind - saying you have unlimited funds isn't always helpful!

✨Make sure you know who's going to attend - identifying who your guests are/might be is key to creating the right 'vibe' for your event.

✨I need a timescale! I have minimum planning timescales for both smaller and larger scale events - I need this to make sure I can deliver what you're asking me to execute.

✨You need to think about how I am going to advertise your event (if appropriate) - getting the marketing right is key to it being a success!

This week's supplier spotlight is the gorgeous Amie! 🌿✨

Amie is a very creative & passionate person who puts her all into her wedding and event styling. I knew that she would do a fabulous job for me when I asked her to style Northumbria Waters' GEM Awards 2024. I asked her to create a room filled with greenery and foliage to immerse the guests in a wild woodland and water setting. The different heights of the table centrepieces, alongside the large trees and shimmer backdrop made for a very memorable event for our client. Even the CEO gave it a mention!

Amie prides herself on being a sustainable supplier in the industry and works incredibly hard to spread the word about making more sustainable choices when you're planning the styling for your wedding or event - music to our ears!

I love what you do Amie - so keep being you 🥰

This list could really go on and on for a reason to have a party!

Featured in this post is our daughter's Christening Day, another one of our very first events 3 years ago (wow, doesn't time fly!) We opted for DIY catering & utilised a local venue to host family and friends. To make sure we had all-weather cover we put up our 3x6m marquee and decorated it with eco-friendly décor.

Paper party bags were used for the older children with eco-friendly party bag fillers inside. Entertainment was a local soft play company at the time, but now we own our own pastel soft-play if you would like it as an addition to your party!
