Happy 5th Birthday to our competition winners earlier in the year! It was so lovely to be a part of your big day yesterday! Setting up and packing away is such hard work but always worth it to see so many children enjoying and engaging in the role play areas! Thats what its all about 😊

Today marks a very special milestone for Pop Up Play Village. We are officially 10 years old!

On this day, 10 years ago, Pop Up Play Village was officially registered with Companies House, and what an incredible journey it has been since then!

What started as an idea to create a magical, imaginative play experience for children has grown into something far bigger than I could ever have imagined. From our very first play sessions to becoming a national franchise, visiting schools, celebrating birthdays, attending events and creating countless opportunities for children to learn and grow through play, it has been an amazing 10 years.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey.

To our wonderful customers and families who have attended our sessions, booked our parties and welcomed us into your schools and communities. Thank you for choosing Pop Up Play Village and allowing us to be part of your children's childhoods.

To our incredible franchise owners, past and present, thank you for believing in our vision, sharing our passion and bringing the magic of Pop Up Play Village to families across the country. I am so proud of what we have built together.

To our supporters, friends, family, partners and everyone who has recommended us, shared our posts, celebrated our successes, encouraged us through challenges or simply cheered us on along the way, thank you. Your support has meant more than you will ever know.

Over the last 10 years, thousands of children have stepped into our village, explored different roles, developed new skills, made friends and discovered the wonderful possibilities of imaginative play. Knowing that we have played even a small part in their development and happiness is something I will always treasure.

As we celebrate this milestone, I am incredibly excited about the next chapter of Pop Up Play Village and everything that is still to come.

Speaking of exciting things…

We have something very special to share with you this evening! Something we have been working on behind the scenes that brings together our love of imaginative play, our wonderful Pop Up Play Village community and our passion for supporting children's wellbeing.

Keep an eye on our page tonight for the big reveal!

Here's to 10 years of Pop Up Play Village, and to many more years of inspiring little imaginations.

Thank you for being part of our story.

Due to low attendance I have unfortunately made the decision to cancel my Penarth stay and play sessions indefinitely.

I have tried to keep it going and I have risked a lot to make Pop Up a success but unfortunately it has sent me into financial difficulty. Thats the risk of business and it has been a hard lesson learned.

I am in love with the concept of Pop Up Play Village and I still believe in it wholeheartedly. Unfortunately I just dont have the finances to keep backing it.

That being said, this isnt goodbye. I am working on other ways to keep it alive. One being an afterschool club provided I can find the right place. Right now though I am going to take a moment to make some decisions on the future of Pop up and i will keep everyone updated as the decisions are made.

I thank everyone that have supported us over the past 9 months. I have absolutely loved it and meeting so many lovely families and peers. I am so sorry to those that come along to my sessions regularly, please understand I havnt taken this decision lightly.

Rest assured if you have a prior engagement with us it will still be honoured and partys/event/school bookings locally will still available.

I thank you all for your patience and support while I figure this out 🙏

📣 A quick update on the afterschool club

Unfortunately the school i have been in talks with isnt going to be viable. This means it is going to take a little longer to find the right place.

To those enquiring about joining the team, you are still noted. As soon as I have a place secured I will be in touch so please dont think I have forgotten you.

For parents who have enquired about spaces i will announce where and when and how to apply here once I have secured the space.

Thank you for your patience!

Imagination is so much more than play, it’s an important part of how young brains grow.

When children pretend, create stories, invent characters, or turn everyday objects into something magical, they’re developing skills that support learning and development.

Imaginative play can help children practise problem solving, build language and communication skills, explore emotions, strengthen creativity, and learn to see situations from different perspectives.

So when a cardboard box becomes a spaceship, a stick becomes a magic wand, or the living room turns into a jungle, their brain is busy making connections.

Giving children time and space to imagine isn’t just playing, it’s giving their developing brain room to explore, experiment and grow.

🔥Application started 🔥
Its all getting very real now!!

I am busy getting all policies and procedures ready and getting everything in place to get going with our new out of school club! 📃

I have had a few questions asking what the plan is as I step into providing afterschool care and what other services (if any) i will still be providing.

So this is the plan ....

🖍Afterschool Care - Monday to Friday.
This will be until 5pm for a short period and moving to 5.30pm/6pm depending on demand and registration guidelines.

📍Where? - This is still to be determined and I will keep you updated once it has been decided. I am hoping it will be in the barry area so will keep you updated as i know more.

What does this mean for our other services? 🤔

🎉Our parties, weddings and events will still be available to book on weekends and during the holidays.

🧸Stay and Play sessions will be in school holidays only.

Please feel free to ask if you have any other concerns. I aim to keep Pop Up very much out there in the community going forward. Just bare with me while I fine tune everything. Exciting times ahead!! 🤗
