Phew! That was a close shave!! It is amazing how much the ranunculus claws multiply over one growing season. From 1 small claw to 10! Pretty impressive.

I’ll let these dry out and store them until I start them off again in October.

Join me at Wild Indigo Sound Healing in Priors Marston for a join workshop with the lovely Jo - Wild Indigo Sound Healing...

This is the first time we have run this workshop and I think it is going to be fabulous. Jo is such a welcoming person and her garden, meadow and bell tent are such relaxing spaces to spend time.

I will guide you in how to make a meadow inspired floral arrangement to take home and enjoy. We use eco-friendly floristry techniques which you will be able to develop and use going forward.

We’ll explore the meadow and garden, cutting some flowers as we go. After some homemake nibbles and refreshments, including herbal teas from the garden, you’ll flow into a healing Sound Journey with Jo.

I’m so looking forward to hosting this workshop with Jo in a few weeks time.

Jo’s garden is so peaceful with a beautiful wild flower meadow and plenty of space to chill out and relax.

Jo will treat you to a wonderful sound bath session set in her unique bell tent and I’ll show you how to create a wild and whimsical meadow scape using flowers we’ve cut from the meadow.

They’ll be home cooked nibbles , refreshments and good company. Why not bring a friend or just yourself for some well deserved me time.

The Bert had landed!

Back to flower posts very soon I promise but I may be a bit distracted with this little chap as he adjusts to life here with us.

He’s slowly exploring the garden with one of his new pack by his side.

He was so good yesterday when we collected him and even let me sleep for many hours last night 🙃

Everything must be so strange to them to begin with and they amaze me how quickly they adapt.

He’s now asleep listening to Radio 2, poor pup 🤣 and dreaming of his next meal!

This is my simplest flower wrap for my Flower Shed posies.

I cut my paper sheets off of a large 200m roll of Kraft paper. They are roughly 40cm x 50cm for these small bouquets.

The snip up the middle helps the paper fit round the bouquet without pushing them together too much so the flowers can have a bit more room.

I’ll be wrapping quite a few for the shed so I don’t tie the posy as the paper holds them together and it saves time. I just use a little bit of biodegradable paper tape to secure it.

I’ll show you a bigger fancy bouquet wrap soon.

Now I grant you these Zinnia seedlings are not the best advert for amazing seedlings! They are a bit leggy. A combination of factors mainly the weather!!

But the point of this quick reel is to show how much easier it is to plant out from soil blocks v module trays.

I just use my gardening knife to cut between the blocks if the roots are interwoven, like cutting a tray bake and lift out ready to pop in the ground.

I’ve linked the reel of how I sowed them for you.

Have you tried soil blocks yet?
