Here come the girls!

I love this photo; it's all smiles, love, excitement and support for their bestie on her big day 💗

The brief was a happy medly of colours and textures, simply hand-tied with a raffia ribbon, to compliment their striking cobalt blue dresses. The Dahlias and roses were in their prime - oh i do love a September wedding!

Making a statement with table centrepieces 👌

H & D wanted a mix of colours for their special day and for their flowers to look natural, whimsical and with lots of fragrance, so their guests could gaze up at a sweet smelling garden as they enjoyed their feast.

So, these large bowl arrangements were bursting full of a riot of colours, shapes, sizes and scents, carefully grown, hand-picked and arranged, with every stem nurtured in the Patch using organic principles, showcasing the wonders of British flowers in July.

Not only that, but these table centrepieces could go on to party the night away. They're so versatile and could become bar decorations, cake table decor and could even jazz up the loo's!

I spent time (albeit only an hour and a half) weeding in my Patch yesterday and it felt AMAZING. So restorative, getting my hands in the soil, watching nature at work.
I haven't had the opportunity to spend much time here as my little lady loves to be on the go (I wonder who she gets that from...?! 🤣) and so sitting whilst I toil the soil is not her favourite thing to do.

It's all a bit wild, but the perennial side to the Patch is so bountiful at the moment, I had to stop and admire its beauty and resilience. Everything has loved the sunshine. The roses especially are in full bloom, filling the air with their heady scent. It cheered the soul. What a tonic. I love flowers. They really are pure joy.

Floaty, natural, fragrant, seasonal and entirely home grown 💐

Looking back at this late-summer bouquet, as the clocks are soon to change for lighter evenings and warmer, sun-filled (hopefully!!) days. There's change in the air. The birds are back singing their dawn chorus, the air feels fresher, the light feels brighter and there's a vibrancy in the fresh new leaves, grass, and emerging blossom. Spring is upon us, the cycle has begun again 🌸

A sneak peak at my last wedding of the fresh flower season. It's all about those gorgeous, warm autumnal colours. Think burnt oranges, golden yellows and burgundy...oooo I just love how luxurious these colours are 🧡

The Crysanthemums have just started blooming too, adding their jewel-toned colours and quirky shapes - perfect timing!

The Great Barn Devon is such a breathtaking wedding venue, restored beautifully to showcase so much history and heart, with a dream team of staff running the show too!

I was so excited to hear D & H were getting married here in July. They wanted colourful, natural and fragrant bowl arrangements as simple statement table centrepieces, to compliment this charming 15th century space.
It was an absolute pleasure to create the flowers for this lovely, happy couple, who supported locally grown, natural and sustainable flower growing and floristry 🩷

Milkchurns! I love them - they're perfect for eye-catching and abundant floral displays, they're multi-purpose and can be moved from church/ceremony to bar or dancefloor (or anywhere else!) throughout the day and add instant impact and a flowery welcome to guests.

I use metal bucket inserts for churns, filled with water and chicken wire supports. Absolutely NO floral foam. I was so pleased to hear the couple decided to pick out and dry some of the flowers from their arrangements, so they have everlasting flowers to remember such a special day 🧡
