When you love a bit of beef… fillet of beef, with a mini shortcrust steak and ale pie. Served with dauphinois potatoes, fresh kale, carrot and of course a rich jus. The flavour in the fillet was incredible 🤤 😋

These definitely tasted as good as they looked… pork terrine with quails scotch egg, pork rilette, Parma ham, apple chutney, mini gherkins and sun blushed tomato or smoked salmon with pickled cucumber and a Buddha bowl inspired vegan starter with hummus, nuts, figs and avocado to name a few.

A truly beautiful marquee and wedding last week. As always - never get any pictures of the food as too busy dishing it up 🤦‍♀️ but canapés, chicken supreme with a gorgeous sauce and a trio of desserts made for a well balanced and tasty menu. We also had the delight of watching GBBO star Val Stones at work with the wedding cake 🍰

Whilst we have been keeping a some~what~low profile over the past year, we are still here ☺️. A year ago we could not even begin to contemplate what was in store for 2020 and now in 2021 we are hoping and praying our lovely couples can have their days as planned once lockdown is lifted🤞
We were still fortunate enough to have a couple smaller weddings last year with the restrictions in place... including of course the beautiful wedding of Ashley and Sarah 💕💕. It was small and intimate and very beautiful...

*** The Keepers Cottage Is Opening ***

We are so pleased to finally announce we are opening this weekend Saturday 1st August.
Come for a drink, grab some food, enjoy an ice cream... or do all 3!
We have made some adjustments for the time being in order to try and keep everyone safe. We will be serving all food and drink out in the front of the pub where we have erected a stretch tent. We have a slightly limited menu and an ice cream parlour for dessert 🍦 🍨

Wednesday - closed

We are also taking part in the early out to help out’ scheme on Mondays and Tuesdays
