💚 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT💚

We're thrilled to be having the wonderful Demi Marriner and her band with us on the 10th August!!

Demi Marriner is a songwriter well worth keeping track of. Her passion and emotion are so contagious, it is almost impossible to not be captivated from the offset. Whether she’s pouring out her heart in an intimate solo shows, or kicking down the doors with her incredible backing band, Demi knows how to impress.

​Winner of the Whispering Bob Harris' Emerging Artist Award at the 2021 UK Americana Awards,
Demi released her highly anticipated debut record 'The Things We Didn't Say' in July 2023 which has received much acclaim.
With endorsements from Whispering Bob Harris, Under The Apple Tree, Chris Difford, The House Of Songs and AMA UK, Demi is no doubt an artist to look out for.

Following a successful debut EP 'Tracks and Trails', and follow up EP 'Dandelion' reaching numbers 1 and 2 respectively in the iTunes UK Country Album Charts, the songstress' boots have travelled across the UK, Europe and USA and have already graced many a great stage, including performances at Americana Fest Nashville, Wilderness Festival, Beardy Folk Festival, Wychwood Festival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Countryfile Live to name a few. She has also been invited to perform with Rufus Wainwright, Guy Chambers, Sam Outlaw, Jarrod Dickenson, Jon Gomm, Wildwood Kin, Ferris & Sylvester, Elles Bailey, Cattle and Cane, Tia McGraff, BJ Barham and many many more.
As well as performing her own music, co-writing with/for other artists and being invited to various songwriting retreats such as Chris Diffords' retreat at Pennard House and The House of Songs retreat in Arkansas, Demi has also written for numerous TV and film productions, including a collaboration with the writers of multi-award winning musical ‘Dearly Departed’ to provide a full original score to their movie, which has gone on to receive awards from the likes of The Royal Television Society, Cheltenham International Film Festival and Bellingham Music Film Festival, as well as winning ‘Best International Film’ at the Carolina Fear Fest Awards.

We're so happy to be having this incredible band with us on the 10th August!! 💚

Their Southern American look might fool some, but listen closer and you'll hear that Wood Burnt Red are a UK country rock band like no other.

With 3 of the band hailing from the Midlands UK, and 1 from Zimbabwe, the boys have each been playing music for over 15 years, but a pandemic saw all four of them unable to perform their art. So, with nothing but his acoustic guitar, pen, paper, and a drop of whiskey, frontman and songwriter Tom Franklin spent his nights endlessly writing country songs, which led him to form the band in the summer of 2020.

Ever since, Wood Burnt Red has been playing across the Midlands and South West, knocking dead crowds with their original writing and energetic performances in a show that leaves you wanting more.

We're so pleased to announce Cornish Duo Our Atlantic Roots 💚

Mac and Laura Johnston, ‘Our Atlantic Roots’, fuse together poetic and beautifully authentic lyrics with incredibly tight harmonies. The blend of their vocals make it almost unbelievable that they are individually from countries that are thousands of miles apart, with Mac originally from North Carolina, USA and Laura from Yorkshire, UK.

The transatlantic, husband-wife duo now live in Cornwall (the wild Atlantic south-west coast of England) but spend much of their time travelling across the UK, sharing their songs and stories with audiences in an abundance of settings, from theatres to festivals, in barns, bars and even on beaches! They have a special gift to write songs that connect with people of many ages and generations as they creatively present a blend of the cultures they are individually from, by merging various genres characterized by their country and folk roots. The duo have taken sonic inspiration from bands such as The Paper Kites, First Aid Kit and The Hollow Coves, and are often compared to the likes of Us The Duo, The Shires, and The Civil Wars.

‘Our Atlantic Roots’ have over 3 million streams on their releases to date, and are currently working on various song writing and recording projects to be released throughout 2024.
