MAINTENANCE SUPPORT VOLUNTEER
needed at Cullingworth Village Hall

Objective
To make sure the building, pathways and car park are maintained to a high standard.

We do NOT need you to bang a hammer, mend a tap or put up shelves!! We have contractors and service agreements and people already in place, who we pay to do that work.

But we do need a volunteer to organise the maintenance.

Role
# To update and implement the annual maintenance schedule, ensuring works are carried out.
# To organise conntractors to service and repair equipment and enable access to the building.
# To ensure work is completed satisfactorily, check invoices against quotes and authorise payment.
# If necessary, source and recommend new or alternative contractors and obtain quotes.
# Required on an ongoing basis for several hours a month and to attend the committee meeting 4 times a year.

Skills and experience
The role would suit someone with good organisational skills. It may suit someone from a maintenance or operations background, but that's not essential. Support will be given from other committee members. The role may work well for a retired/semi retired or homeworking person living locally wishing to support and contribute to our valuable community facility.

The Committee is a small team of volunteers who run the Cullingworth Village Hall charity. The hall is not run or administered in any way by Bradford Council.

Hi all,
Is there anyone in Cullingworth who would be happy to be the emergency contact when we have an 'emergency'? Very occasionally we've had an emergency - usually something to do with plumbing. We already have a regular handyman and contractors for servicing and repairs. This is not a volunteer role - we will pay for someone who is happy to take on this role.

Thank you!
