Just a little reflection on this year's weddings. Every wedding at the Old Wheat Barn at The Pink Pig Farm has been exceptional this year and the start of an amazing marriage for all of our couples. However, I'd like to dedicate this post to my team this year. Teams do not always get the recognition they deserve and so I want to tell you about my team at the Old Wheat Barn. I have worked with many people since I started my business back in 2012, but the team at the Old Wheat Barn in particular this year have been absolutely phenomenal. The front of house team that work alongside me are aged from around 17 years to mid twenties. I can honestly say that they are the hardest working, most polite, most organised, most welcoming, and most dedicated team members that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I cannot begin to tell you how well these young people have worked together - supporting each other in front of guests and behind the scenes. Sometimes to many people, jobs like these are relatively menial - but what these young people do is work their absolute hardest to ensure couples have the best day of their lives. They don't moan or complain. They keep working hard for what are very long days. They smile, they laugh together, sometimes there's a bit of singing and dancing in the kitchen (ssh don't tell anyone!)....and I couldn't be prouder of this young team of mine. They are learning how to be project managers, how to be great communicators, how to organise and prioritise tasks, how to build great team spirit, how to ensure the last wedding of the season is absolutely as amazing as the first. And so as one bride this year put it, my team at the Old Wheat Barn are absolutely sensational!!!
