The Newcastle Show this weekend was amazing, many thanks to everyone who came.
We have been asked for a more Northern show for years, and we have trialed both Scotland and Newcastle previously, but didn’t manage to get the location quite right.
After more requests than I can count to come back to Newcastle you guys finally wore me down and I found a fantastic hotel in Gateshead, close to shops, cafes and public transport, with free parking, reasonable bedroom rates and a fantastic show room!
So I took the plunge, vowing to give it one last shot!
I have to say that for a first show it was incredible! We had really high visitor numbers and honestly the atmosphere was amazing. I love the smaller shows because I feel I have time to chat to people and it was just so nice to catch up with vendors and visitors alike!
In terms of long term viability, I can say that I will be looking to put in a date for a similar time next year to see if we can get some growth.
Visitors and collectors really supported the show, and I hope that can entice some more vendors, either locally or to make the journey!
I managed to dash round and get some quick photos before the show opened too!!
