Becky & Bryn’s connection is truly something special.
Becky’s big day nerves melted away in Bryn’s presence, smiles all around. From the moment they saw each other the love and understanding between them was undeniable. An effortless unconditional love.

Also can we just have a moment for the sweet highland cows that featured in the background of the ceremony.

Kirsty & Gary's wedding at the splendid was a wedding close to my heart. Being a family wedding meant there was even more pressure to get it right, can you imagine how awkward Christmas could be if I didn't take my job seriously haha.

But I couldn't be more happy with how I captured these two love birds, it was heartwarming to see how genuinely smitten they are. Gary couldn't stop looking at Kirsty like he had the biggest crush on a girl at school and she'd finally spoken to him. He couldn't stop confessing to everyone how lucky he was and how amazing his wife was. And the sweet loving glances she gave him said it all.

After delivering their gallery it took them a week of looking through and debating, finally, they had a total of 90 images printed and displayed around their home so I think it is safe to say they are happy with my work too.

When it comes to confetti time I bloody love it! Everyone’s excited, people are mingling and then boom an explosion of colour.

My only tip for my brides and grooms is to remember to keep your heads up and smile. When you smile your eyes will naturally be more closed and protect you from any stray confetti going into them.

I see so many gorgeous couples scrunch their faces up, close their eyes completely and put their heads down in anticipation and they miss the whole thing.

So please keep those beautiful faces visible to the camera and enjoy the chaos of colour.

Candle lighting has quickly become one of my favourite editions to a modern ceremony, no matter who lights them. Some couples light a small candle each and then they both light a larger candle together to symbolize the joining of two people and their families into one. In this case, Gina and Brandon chose to have their mums the matriarchs of both families carry out the candle lighting, which added an extra layer of significance. A great way to include any family members into the ceremony, especially if they are hesitant to take part in a traditional reading.
