This post differs a little from my usual afternoon tea–based posts… 🫖💛

This October, I’m taking on a half marathon — and I’m running for something much bigger than the finish line. 🐾

I’m proud to be fundraising for Happy Doggo, an incredible Thailand-based street dog rescue dedicated to giving abandoned and vulnerable dogs a second chance at life. Every single mile I run will be for dogs who don’t yet have a safe, loving home.

Rescue is something deeply personal to me. I have my own street dog from Cyprus, and he is truly my world. Watching him grow in confidence, knowing he’s safe, happy, and loved — it’s everything. He reminds me every single day why this matters so much. And every dog deserves that same chance.

So I’m stepping out of my comfort zone (and into my running shoes!) to raise as much as I can. If you’re able to donate — no matter how small — it will go towards food, medical care, shelter, and hope for dogs who need it most.

If you can’t donate, a share would mean just as much. Let’s turn miles into second chances. 🐶💕

Okay but why has my brain been hosting a TED Talk every night at 2:13am?

For weeks I’ve been tossing, turning, replaying conversations from 2009, solving imaginary problems, and planning a new career instead of sleeping like a normal person.

So I started making this turmeric milky tea before bed and… why is it actually helping??

It’s warm, cozy, slightly sweet, and feels like a little “we’re shutting down now” signal to my body.

Is it a miracle cure? No

Is my brain still slightly chaotic? Absolutely.

Am I falling asleep faster and waking up less? Shockingly, yes.

In the middle of the afternoon, the world doesn’t slow down — but you can.

A tea ritual isn’t about the tea. It’s about permission.

Permission to stop multitasking.
Permission to sit instead of scroll.
Permission to notice something ordinary and let it be enough.

When you make tea with intention — the kettle boiling, the cup warming your hands, the quiet minute while it steeps — you create a small boundary between yourself and the noise of the day. Nothing dramatic happens. And that’s the point.

Rituals help mental wellbeing not because they solve problems, but because they anchor us in the present. Repetition creates safety. Familiar actions calm the nervous system. A daily pause reminds the body that it is allowed to rest, even briefly.

Solo afternoon tea is a gentle practice of attention:
One cup.
One moment.
No performance.

You don’t need silence, perfect china, or a clear mind. You just need to show up for a few minutes and let the ritual hold you.

At four o’clock — or whenever you choose — let the cup be a marker in the day.

Gather your favourite people and enjoy a cosy, festive afternoon tea from the comfort of your own home. Choose between our Christmas menu or our much-loved standard menu for just £13.00 per person.
Want to make it extra special? Add on a Sip & Paint experience or decorate your own Christmas house for £20.00 per person.

We bring everything to you — set your table with festive cheer and even whisk away the washing up afterwards!
