UPDATE RE CEREMONIES AT NORTH LODGE

Cromer Town Council has agreed to move forward with the works to make the building accessible by building a small extension to include a lift to the chamber and an accessible WC. However, at the present time we do not have a timeline for the necessary consents and works so we cannot yet recommence bookings for ceremonies.

Congratulations to the lovely couple who tied the knot at North Lodge yesterday and were accompanied by a rainbow over the sea as they made their vows.

Only two weddings left in the diary for the rest of 2022 🙁 We love our autumn and winter ceremonies just as much as those in the busier spring and summer season.

Please be advised that due to essential maintenance works, our venue will not be available for any bookings in Jan/Feb/Mar 2022.

Please get in touch if you are interested in making a booking for a ceremony or would like to make an appointment to visit North Lodge. We still have availability for 2022 but this is also subject to the availability of the registrars to come out to North Lodge to conduct the ceremony. We are currently receiving a high volume of enquiries for autumn 2022 and for 2023.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be asked to be witnesses at a lovely wedding at North Lodge yesterday. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Following the recent changes to allow all weddings at approved venues to be held outdoors (weather permitting) and the lifting of social distancing, we have reviewed the arrangements for forthcoming ceremonies at North Lodge.

In order to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid, we recommend that for indoor ceremonies all guests (unless exempt) wear a face covering whilst inside the building. Our representative and the registrars will wear a face covering while moving around the room. We do not expect that the wedding couple will wear face coverings during the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, all guests will be asked to remain seated until the registrars and our representative have left the room.

QR code will be on display for those who wish to use it and contact details may be left with our representative if guests request.

We recommend that all of the wedding party do a lateral flow test before attending.

We ask that anyone who has any signs of illness does not attend.

We ask that everyone uses the hand sanitiser provided.

Existing bookings can be changed to outdoor ceremonies (weather permitting).

We are continuing to sanitise all touch points and the chamber will be well ventilated to help reduce any risk.

Arrangements will continue to be reviewed on a regular basis and any further changes will be announced as and when they occur.

Unfortunately, although we have availability at North Lodge, Cromer, due to the Covid-19 national lockdowns, the Registrars at the Celebrate in Norfolk team are unable to accommodate any new bookings at present, until after 1st October 2021.

Due to the large volume of ceremonies that were postponed and rescheduled because of the pandemic the Celebrate in Norfolk team are unable to accommodate new bookings for the Registrars and for ceremonies to take place before the end of September 2021, unless there is a reason why you need a ceremony urgently.

We are delighted to confirm that ceremonies at North Lodge, Cromer have now restarted with effect from 1st September 2020 and we are now takings bookings for the remainder of this year and onwards!

However, following the current guidance in relation to social distancing, ceremonies for the immediate future are very limited in numbers allowed to attend.

At present, due to social distancing guidelines and the size of our ceremony room, there will be a limit to the number of people who can attend which is as follows; the wedding couple, two groups of three guests (each person within the group of three must be from the same household) and one photographer (optional). This is because North Lodge is a very small venue and we cannot accommodate more people and still remain within the guidelines for social distancing. We reserve the right to amend the number of persons permitted as and when national guidelines may change.
