Seraphim and cherubim details on the final piece for the Kells Calligraffiti project funded by Creative Scotland.

I'm working directly from the biblical descriptions of angels, much more interesting outcomes than the modern 2 winged single headed versions and closer to what the scribe artist of the Book of Kells was doing. More wings, more heads, more eyes and plenty of flames.

Here is one for all the coastal rowers. Menno Verburg’s wonderful linocut Hard to Port is one of the many prints in our current exhibition Scenes by Menno, depicting the artists observations of Cromarty. If you are heading to the Cromarty Regatta this weekend with your oars, stop by the studio and see this and other prints and sculptures.

🎨 **NEW TUTOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Painting the Landscape with Kirstie Cohen**

We are delighted to welcome acclaimed Scottish painter **Kirstie Cohen** to Cromarty Arts Trust to lead our upcoming Painting the Landscape course.

A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Kirstie has exhibited professionally across the UK since her first solo exhibition in London in 1990 and now lives and works here in the Highlands.

Over two creative days, Kirstie will guide participants through an expressive exploration of landscape using colour, mark making and experimentation.

Working initially on a series of small panels, you will be encouraged to work freely and create multiple images, drawing inspiration from the landscape, photographs, sketches, memory and imagination. On day two, there will also be the opportunity to develop work on a larger scale.

Kirstie will demonstrate techniques, work individually with participants and help you develop ideas and resolve challenges as your paintings evolve.

This is about exploring, experimenting and discovering what happens when you give yourself proper time to paint.
