As our season had come to an end it's fun to reflect on the last month of picking and memories made at Crewe Green Sunflowers. Please share your favourite snaps below for a chance at being our next cover photo (landscape only please).

🌻 That’s a wrap on our 2026 sunflower season 🌻

After assessing the fields today - the challenging weather, including drought has sadly brought our sunflower season to an earlier end than we’d hoped, our picking has now finished and we are closed for sunflower picking 2026.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to every single person who came along, picked flowers, brought family and friends, shared our posts, recommended us and supported our little sunflower field. 💛

We really do feel so lucky to have such a wonderful community around us. Seeing families enjoying the field, making memories and taking a little bit of sunshine home with them has made all the hard work worthwhile.

And what a spectacular way to finish the season — with last night’s eclipse lighting up the sky. 🌙🌻✨ A very special end to the season.

Thank you for making 2026 so memorable. We’ll be back next year, and in the meantime… pumpkins are on the way! 🎃

Please read ahead of your visit today! Last planned day of picking today!

Final planned day of picking today Wednesday 12th August! Open until 9pm. £15 per car including a bunch of PYO flowers (8 to 10 stems). Bring something to cut flowers if you can. Picnics welcome! Today is the last day of planned picking- we will let the field rest for a few days after today and assess ahead of the weekend. The sea of yellow is passing but we have plenty of new growth and lots of fresh picking to be found still across our fields. It has been a very hard and different season with the weather this year so our fields are maturing faster than normal.

The Thirsty Magpie joining us from 10am serving up some nice drinks all day

Caffeinate & Create are joining us from 5pm to run a pop up painting session

Emily Parker will be joining us all day with her local crafts

Eclipse - tonight late night session coincides with the eclipse later on! Please bring something to safely view it with if you are planning on watching it. Bring a chair if you'd like to get comfy from further back in the field. The sun will be low in the sky but having checked last night it is visible from the bank in our play area and further back in the first sunflower field. Let's hope for clear skies. We could be a bit busier than normal so please check the social pages before you set off incase our carpark is full.

Local Pagan society Bylfuga Moot are joining us from 6pm and are welcoming members from the community to join them if they would like to drum to the solar eclipse.

Late night opening 10am to sunset on 12th August 2026. Picnics welcome, snacks available and here serving up hot drinks. Bring something to view the eclipse with - appropriate glasses / colander / phone- limited sets of glasses available to share here. Also recommend to bring a chair if you'd like to get comfy and view from further back in the field.
Let's hope for clear skies. Obvious this is a natural event and we cannot guarantee clear skies for viewing. But we can offer a lovely atmosphere and refreshments as per our usual late night opening and you'll get to pick a bunch of sunflowers to take home (bring something to cut them if you can). £15 per car including your first bunch of sunflowers (10 stems), additional bunches £5.
Local Pagan community Byfluga Moot will be celebrating and drumming in the eclipse - they have said that eveyone is welcome to join them (this is not directly organised by ourselves). We also have a pop up painting session thay evening as an add on. It is set to be a lovely evening - the eclipse starts just after 6, peaks just after 7pm and continues to around 8pm. The sun will be quite low in the sky and we will experience around a 91% eclipse at our location.

Open as normal today Tuesday 11th - 10am until latest entry 4pm. And a reminder of tomorrow late night sunset opening to coincidence with the solar eclipse (Wednesday 12th).

No need to book, pay on gate, picnics welcome.
