As June 14th marked the start of National Picnic Week, we thought we would share a little story with you...

When travelling in Brittany in France recently, one of our colleagues was driving along on a hot day when she spotted a group enjoying picnic in the beautiful weather.
But this wasn't your average 'blanket on the floor with some sandwiches and sausage rolls' sort of picnic, no no! This particular group of Bretons had set themselves up on a picnic bench, complete with pretty tablecloth and full dinner service!
This wasn't a quick and easy lunch, this was a planned afternoon of elegance, a chance to spend some quality time with friends or family, enjoying a well crafted spread.

And this got us wondering... Was this a special occasion for this group, or is this just how the French picnic?

It's well known that the French take time over their lunch, often stepping away from their work day for a proper break and a hearty meal (this same colleague has even spotted a gentleman selling at the French market set themselves up with a table, tablecloth and bottle of wine half way through trading!)... So perhaps this is not uncommon in France.
And what a lovely way to enjoy your afternoon, so perhaps when next planning a picnic, be sure to slow down, plan the finer details and maybe 'Picnic like a Breton'!

World Refill Day is a global movement that encourages businesses, and communities to choose reuse and refill instead of single-use plastics. This day aims to inspire positive change for a cleaner, healthier planet.

Out of their three children two work for the Company. Jaimie, she loves to work with our clients, meet with them, listen to them and grow the business to accommodate their needs. She loves to create a vision and inspire others. James the youngest is everything transport and logistics. He works so hard to meet all the requirements of our clients, making sure their orders are there when requested. He has created a fantastic, trustworthy team which are dedicated to giving you the best service.
