🌱 Kitchen Garden Update🌱
It's been another busy week in the kitchen garden!
We've been planting tomatoes, sweetcorn, basil, chives, chard, radishes and cornflowers, while also sowing more flower seeds to keep the garden full of colour and interest for pollinators throughout the season.🍅🌽
This week we've also added extra supports for the hops as they continue their impressive climb, created some bee drinking stations to help our hardworking pollinators, and even built a bug snug to provide shelter for beneficial insects.
We've also enjoyed harvesting our first gooseberries of the season – a sure sign that summer is well underway.
While the weather hasn't always felt particularly summery, the recent rain has been a welcome boost for the garden, helping everything put on plenty of healthy growth.
It's wonderful to see the garden filling out and becoming more vibrant with each passing week.🌻
