And we are finished !!

This gorgeous pink costume we fitted in for a young lady who wanted to commemorate a friend sadly no longer with us. We were given something special which we have used in the dress ❤️
She also wanted lots of sparkle and I think we have fulfilled that wish.

The black and white costume is a 2 layer handkerchief hem skirt with bodice full of applique's. This represents a gothic ghostly 'immortal' dance. This one took the longest to hand sew the applique's. It is finished off with gems and pearls.
Lastly just finished a rush acro costume needed for Sunday.

Beautiful Lyrical dress finished today waiting for its new owner.
The base is grape lycra and mesh with a ruched front skirt and full back.
A pink drape is a gorgeous contrast finished off with pink diamanté mesh fabric which flows to the side tail.
Pearls, ab and purple gems stones placed to give it that sparkle.

This is a beautiful grape colour with a pink accent, lots of gems to add tomorrow.
Another lyrical to do yet this week alongside an emergency acro costume and adding mermaid layers to another costume.

More Homework!!

There are a lot of applique's on this costume which will take several hours to complete before we can stone.

We are fully booked for any costumes until mid November when we will open the books again ( I have squeezed in as much as I dare ! )
We already have several costume orders booked in for December to be ready for January festivals and comps so please get your request in now.

I love making lyrical/ ballet dresses where I can create to a theme. We also make character costumes.

There are some costumes I'm not so keen on, 🫤 when a customer asks for an exact replica of an off the peg costume or someone else's costume its not going to happen we all create costumes differently and all source our fabrics and trims from different places so please use these as a base idea. ( there are some costumes i hate doing but im not going to tell you what they are 😣)

A bit about AI and CHAT GPT, we have been sent pics with costumes and yes you can get ideas from this but again we cannot replicate these exact images so PLEASE use these as ideas only !!!
Often fabrics on these images do not exist and just aren't possible to recreate.

Be unique, be yourself, love what you do.

We love this beautiful ballet duet 🥰

From the base to the applique's set and sewn then finished with just enough gems to make them sparkle.
These have a high / low skirt, higher at the front with a dramatic drop at the back.

This navy blue duet with antique gold applique is absolutely going to set these young dancers apart.

How much bling is on this 😍
Base is lined lycra fabric in Rubino with mesh as a slight contrast.
Bra style halter neck top with that extra strap to give it interest.
Skirt is split on both sides and edged with gems and then even more is added. We have ruching right across a high waist going down to the lower hip.
Quite labour intensive !
This has now gone to its owner who is using it for a Jazz piece.

Booking in costumes now for around mid October.

Its a designing sort of day !

I'm constantly designing costumes in my head so before I start costume orders through August I'm going to make up this little number!

This will be a n**e mesh with ocean lycra as the base with the most beautiful 2 tone iridescent ocean green blue mesh with deep red undertones gorgeous in the light.
Of course the appliques and gems are a must. Age 14 or XS adult sizing.

We will be posting a lot on costumes in the near future, some of our more recent costumes are in the collage so have a look.

Book in for your costumes soon as spaces will be limited ( we always get a last flurry of costume enquiries ) we will try and fit every one in if we can.
