Our Jackie. Never forgotten! ❤️

🩵🩷 A Special Memory – Jackie 🩷🩵

As we prepare to close the Ball Hill Diner today, 19th April 2026, we remember Jackie. She was one of those familiar faces that became part of the very fabric of Ball Hill Diner 💛

Working at Hakimpur Ltd BuyFromHome.co.uk - Hakimpur Cash & Carry for over 30 years, she never missed her morning coffee with us — always popping in, always bringing the morning papers, and always part of the morning routine at the Ball Hill Diner ❤️

In fact, Jackie had been coming to the diner from the very beginning — one of our very first customers when we opened all those years ago 🩵

There’s something so special about the connection she had with both businesses. The owners of Hakimpur would later go on to buy Ball Hill Diner from the founders, Derek and Lesley — a full-circle moment that sadly Jackie never got to see 💔

Jackie passed away during lockdown, and we often think how much she would have loved to be part of this next chapter — after showing such loyalty to both places for so many years 🩷

She was a huge part of our story, and she will always be remembered with fondness and gratitude 🩵🩷
