Blatant Promotions started life in 2004 as a record label with one artist, Rob Halligan. Robs debut album, Dancing With Seagulls, was recorded at Front2Back studios in Worthing, Sussex, with producer Simon Goodall and engineered by Dave Bankhead. The album was well received and helped launch Robs career as a professional musician. On Robs behalf Blatant went on to work with the BBC, Radio Plus, Gr
ace Productions and Channel 4. After managing tours for Rob Halligan and promoting various events for artists such as Gareth Davies Jones, and After the Fire, Blatant branched into the world of festivals and programmed the Holbooks Community Festival in Coventry. This early experience helped us take on a similar role at Coventrys' Godiva Festival, the largest free festival in the UK, where we programmed and managed the Radio Plus community stage for five years. We are now responsible for the Music Program at Coventry Motofest which attracts around 110,000 people over two days.
