My little prize-winning superstar!
Last weekend we were invited to Hastings Jam, organised by the fabulous Glittery Rainbow Cat | Face Painter Sussex . We took the opportunity to treat it as a weekend away, so I was lucky enough to have both Rory and Mr Glitterarti (as well as our gorgeous friends) with us.
I was asked to do my first ever demo, and although I hadn’t engaged my brain fully (I was in holiday mode so didn’t bring my full kit or any of my larger set up) Mary unbelievably kindly allowed Rory to use her brushes and paints when she showed interest in joining the children’s face paint competition…
She started late as she was being given an airbrush tattoo by Mike from Michelle Perkins - ABC Parties but then got straight to it, painting this cute witchy pumpkin…..and she went on to win second prize!!!
I am so proud of her, and so happy she felt comfortable enough to join in. When told she won, she replied “It was just fun to take part, I don’t mind about winning”
I really hope this will reignite her interest to learn face painting, as her design ideas beat mine every time and I don’t think there’s a single new design on my page that hasn’t had some sort of input from her-from colour choices to placement or even design elements. She is my best friend, and (along with Aurelia) the inspiration behind every design I create and face I paint.

Still pinching myself that my one stroke unicorn class UK Face & Body Art Convention convention was fully booked within 20 minutes! Beyond honoured, flattered and so grateful.
If you missed out and still want a chance to attend, join the waiting list; if enough people are registered they may move me to a bigger room and potentially open up more spaces.


Cheek design; A super cute unicorn, with flowing, floaty hair and everyone’s favourite flowers. Perfect for long fringes, small foreheads or for when you want to mix it up a bit!

My go to unicorn design; Princess Unicorn Mask.
A soft pastel base with teardrops create this look which gives a real wow-factor at events and will leave the parents in awe.

Fluttercorn or Alicorn; combining two of the most popular designs, this is a great option to add to your repertoire, and a nice alternative if you have already painted a million unicorns. Always popular at parties, a quick solution to a long line.
