Cookstown Floral Art Club held their final workshop of the season last Friday evening, with members enjoying a creative and inspiring night of floral design.
The workshop, entitled “Framing Nature’s Beauty”, was led by chairperson Denise Campbell. Members learned how to construct and design a picture frame arrangement on a base, creating stunning displays using a selection of flowers and foliage.
Denise expertly guided everyone through the process, demonstrating how to frame their floral creations with style and imagination. It was wonderful to see the amazing talent and creativity within the club.
The evening concluded with a lovely supper kindly provided with by Joan Collins and Sandra Rea, bringing a perfect end to an enjoyable and successful workshop.

Cookstown Floral Art Club held its annual workshop on Friday evening in memory of founder member Margery Rea. The event was led by tutor Edel Michael, who gave an excellent demonstration on creating wired ivy roses and cold glue laurel roses, showing how simple leaves can be transformed into beautiful ivy roses for floral arrangements.
Thanks are extended to Edel for her inspiring tuition and to the tea ladies for their hospitality.
As part of the event, the Margery Rea Clock was won by Denise Campbell, second place going to Thelma Sinnamon, who received the Cookstown Floral Art Club picture frame

Cookstown Floral Art Club hosted a wonderful creative hands-on workshop last Friday night. The theme of the night centred around the use of heirloom tea and coffee pots, along with delicate cup and saucers. Members embraced the unique of the challenge, each transforming vintage pieces into beautiful floral displays. No two designs were the same and the use of heirlooms items added a special touch to the evening. It was a joy to see such a variety of imaginative displays.
Thank you to the tea ladies who provided a cuppa. It was the perfect ending to a fitting themed and throughly enjoyable night.

Cookstown Floral Art Club enjoyed a truly unforgettable evening last night at a spectacular flower demonstration titled “Just Imagine” by the wonderfully talented Brian Sheilds.
From the moment the demonstration began, Brian captivated everyone in attendance with his incredible creativity, depth of knowledge, and effortless sense of humour.

Each arrangement was not only a work of art but also a reflection of his passion and expertise, leaving the audience both inspired and thoroughly entertained.
The club was especially privileged to host Brian for what marked his final demonstration before embarking on an exciting new chapter in France. It was a bittersweet occasion while we celebrate his next adventure, he will certainly be missed within the floral art community here.

Brian, alongside Jason, is setting off to begin a new venture, creating a charming Air B&B while also sharing their skills through flower arranging classes. What a wonderful opportunity for others to experience their talent and hospitality.

Cookstown Floral Art Club extends heartfelt thanks to Brian for such a memorable evening and wishes both Brian and Jason every success and happiness in their new journey.

Bon voyage and best wishes for the adventure ahead!

Cookstown Floral Art Club began the new year with a well attended spring flower arrangement workshop, led by our own club member, Eunice. With 23 members present, the evening was a true testament to the popularity of hands-on workshops.
Eunice created a beautiful spring display and by adding a special touch to the evening, she kindly gifted everyone with a lovely gift bag containing a rattan heart and a beautiful needle felted heart, made by Eunice herself. These charming additions were incorporated into the arrangements, giving them a romantic flair for Valentine’s Day.
It was a very enjoyable night and to round off the evening, our wonderful tea ladies provided a delicious valentine supper with delightful valentine cupcakes.
With such a successful and well attended evening, it’s clear that hands-on worknights continue to be a valued and much-loved part of Cookstown Floral Art Club’s programme.
