Absolutely chuffed to bits to be a Wales Finalist for Wedding Celebrant of the Year in The 2027 Wedding Industry Awards!

What I love about The Wedding Industry Awards is how they’re judged. Only couples whose ceremonies I’ve led in the last 12 months can vote, and a panel of industry experts then reviews their feedback.

That means the ONLY reason I’ve got this far is because of my couples 🥰

Being named a Wales finalist is a huge deal to me, and I can’t wait to celebrate with friends from across the industry at the awards night at the end of November.

One year ago today | Wishing a very happy first anniversary to Elena and Graham!

E&G’s wedding is a great example of doing things their own way. Their dream wedding day was relaxed and fun, with space for kids and dogs to roam. Their closest people, a big house Anglesey, a wedding ceremony in the garden in the morning, and then to their spot on the beach for a picnic and games.

Wishing the happiest of anniversaries to Sally Booth and Lee Booth

A year ago today, barefoot on the sand, they said their “I dos” in front of their family and friends and then partied on the beach until the sun went down.

This ceremony has a really special place in my heart because it showed just what was possible if you focus on the bits that are important to you two and forget about the rest.

Porthdinllaen beach is the beach they walk on every morning with their dogs - if you’ve heard of the famour Ty Coch Inn, you’ll know which beach I’m talking about. It’s their favourite place in the world, and the perfect place tfor them to say their “I Dos”. They hired a little holiday cottage right on the beach, borrowed some chairs from the local community centre, and Sally worked her magic with the styling.

What made it for me was how JOYOUS the whole thing was from start to finish, which Alessandra✨️arielinblue photography✨️North Wales’s incredible photographs absolutely capture. Sally & Lee wanted a ceremony that felt authentic and meaningful to them, whilst being uplifting and meaningful. With a little help from two very fluffy ringbearers, I think we nailed it.

I just wish we could do it all again…

This is EXACTLY why the wedding reform consultation is exactly what the wedding industry needs in England and Wales.

On Friday, El & Ash tied the knot at their home farm wedding. The farm has been in El’s family for generations, and it meant the world to her that she and Ash could say their vows there in front of family and friends.

One of the big changes in the wedding reform consultation is moving the license from the venue to the individual officiant, which means, in the future, couples like El & Ash would be able to do the whole thing in a venue that was important to them - without the need for a separate 2+2 certificate signing.

If you’d like to have your say on the wedding reform consultation, Google “wedding law reform uk” - the report is called “tying the knot” and is open until late September.

And LOOK how absolutely gorgeous the barn looked set up for their ceremony.

Happy first anniversary to the gorgeous couple, Rod & Dan. A year (and a day - oops) ago, they planned the most perfect day at Brinsop Court

They snuck off and signed the paperwork first, did rock, paper, scissors to decide who would walk down the aisle, and then had a personal celebrant ceremony with yours truly, filled with big laughs, happy tears and the most gorgeous flowers I’ve ever seen.

Massive props to The Fabulous Florist for the breathtaking flower arch and the amazing lapel flowers too. LOVE!

Happy one year anniversary to Katie & Seb, who tied the knot in a beautiful home wedding here in North Wales.

Katie and Seb wanted an incredible experience for ALL of their guests, especially those who had travelled from Germany to join the celebration.

So from our very first conversation, we talked about how to balance translations and dual languages to make everyone feel welcome.

Emily & David | When covid stopped these two from celebrating getting legally married the way they wanted to, they promised themselves that one day, they would do it properly. When the time was finally right, Emily & David planned a destination wedding with friends and family from literally all over the world, right here in North Wales.

What was so special about their big day was that this was the first time that a lot of their family and friends had been in the same timezone, let alone the same place, at the same time. Their destination wedding at Talhenbont Hall gave them the chance to take their time, get out to the mountains and the beach and spend real quality time with their people as they celebrated their love.

Happy one year anniversary, here’s to many more!

One year ago today, Abi Emery and Jodie Emery said “I Do” at Caer Llan | A beautiful wedding and events venue and it was glorious.

They’d built a life together based on Strong Man Competitions, Eurovision, silly dances in the kitchen and two lockdown kittens called Jackie and Roy, who they now consider to be their entire personalities.

So it made absolute sense that their wedding day reflected them, rather than following tradition for tradition’s sake. So there were no readings about love and marriage. No lines borrowed from someone else’s ceremony. Absolutely no boring bits. Instead, we had a light and fun ceremony with lots of love and a few RuPaul’s Drag Race references thrown in for good measure.

There was one unexpected guest who didn’t get the memo - a wasp who wouldn’t leave Abi alone during her vows. Massive props to Abi for keeping her composure.
