🌟 The Story Behind The Great Conisbrough Events 🌟
It all started with a simple question: How can we get the people of Conisbrough all involved in one massive event together?
To make it work, I knew we needed a cause that mattered to everyone. It didn't take long to realize that our village Christmas lights were an issue people are wanting. With over eight years of experience managing bars in the area, I knew the local hospitality scene inside and out. That’s when the idea hit me: a massive, village-wide pub crawl was the way forward.
We launched the idea on social media, and the response was nothing short of unbelievable. Within the first month, the event page hit over 1 million views on Facebook. When the day of The Great Conisbrough Pub Crawl finally arrived, 700 people started the route. By the time we reached the bottom of the village at The White Lady, that crowd had swelled to over 1,000 people celebrating together. Most importantly, we raised over £5,000 for the village lights.
Seeing that kind of unity sparked something bigger. That was the day The Great Conisbrough Events was officially born.
We kept the momentum going by organizing the comeback gig for Mucky Blond, bringing people together for an unforgettable night and raising another £760 for Make-A-Wish UK. As the word spread, more incredible volunteers from the village stepped up to join the team. Together, we pooled our ideas and hard work to create the first-ever Great Conisbrough Summer Market, which turned out to be a massive success for the whole community.
🌟 Our Mission 🌟
For me, the main drive behind all of this is simple: bringing the people of our village together through events I’m genuinely passionate about. I love using social media not just to promote, but to build a real, connected community both online and in person.
Ultimately, I want my boys to grow up looking at their village with pride. I want them to see a positive, thriving, and supportive Conisbrough.
That’s why we do what we do—and we’re just getting started.
